what words annoy you?

i'm not talking about the 4-letter variety but common words or terms that either hit your ear wrong or make you cringe when you hear them.

mine would be:

supper
when soda is referred to as "pop"
dungarees. it's not very common but the few times i've heard it it drove me batty.

It's not so much words I hate but I hate abbreviations. Really does it take that much more effort to pronounce the whole word?

Examples:

Veggie (my absolute worst)
Cap (for cappucino)

Those are my two most hated.
