I have a younger brother (also living with a mental disability) that likes to disassemble stuff, but never really gets it back together again, it's cute right up until your the one replacing stuff on a regular basis.

This is my suggestion

I would say he could handle the e-liquid without a health risk. But tj stated, may a clearomizer would be better because he may not realize he needs to refill without the visual warning that the tank is empty.

In which case, I'd probably go with the clear ones..

With the tinted color clearos, juice level can be difficult to see sometimes...

It'd be hard to recommend something without knowing him personally... But...

Kanger EVOD/T3S/T3D for your topper. They're pretty cheap, durable, and easy to maintain/change the coils on.

Ego style battery or Vision spinner, easiest to understand and no buttons for VV/VW or menus to go through etc.

I would recommend a mvp and i30.

The best choice I feel is what you find easiest to tune up or repair. All devices occasionally have problems. I find the i16 and i30 are easy for me and they use the same coil head and it's easy for me to fix any problems that come up. Who is going to set this up for Uncle and help if it's not working right? What do they find the easiest? That may determine your best choice. Any brand/model tank or clearomizer is fine IF its working properly. I never met a good vape I didn't like. :toast:

Doesn't the MVP 2 also have the color indicator lights on the button?

Green = battery good
Yellow = battery getting low
Red = time to recharge

?

MVP with Evod tank might be good for him. It's got the clear panel to see the liquid level but it's not fully plastic so it won't break as easily. Also, with the panel, he can see when the liquid is below the panel without completely running his tank dry (there's still a bit of eliquid in there even when you can't see it). So, when he can't see the level any longer then he knows to add more without running the tank completely dry.

I like the full evod set-up. The dual pack kanger starter kit would work great. If you go vv or vw you run the risk of burning ejuice just by pressing a button or twisting a dial. The evod clearo is sturdy as can be (I've had mine for over a year), uses standard single coils (unless you go up to the evod 2 or evod glass), and is very simple. It also has the flat battery on the side, so it is less apt to fire if in a pocket.

I got mine off of ebay and have had them for over a year. I have used citrus juice and other tank crackers in them with no issue (of course that was before I knew that there was something called a tank cracker). At about 30 bucks for the set (including a charger) I think it is the best bet.

Yes, it'll also just shut off when it doesn't have enough charge. Honestly I never find myself looking at the fire button to check charge status as you have to push it to check.

The MVP is also kinda pricey considering it may be cared for in a less than expected manner.

Ego - VV or Spinner
Kanger T2 - Top wick - Less issues with dry hits, flooding complaints, etc. Simple to replace coil heads. No Drip tips to fiddle with/lose.
Extremely reliable. Once comfortable using, simpler than and as good Flavor/vapor as any T3 style BCC.

Ce4 is throw away
Ce5 has short life span
Cartos - to easy to forget and dry hit damage

I'd recommend an Evod starter kit. They're pretty simple to use. And happen to use the same coils as the protank.

The only issue may be you said a clearo might be best as he can see when the liquid is low. The Evod tanks only have a small window so you have to actively look, he is less likely to notice if he forgets to check. The mini protank is glass, so you can see in easily, however, they are glass. A T3s is 3ml, so needs filling less frequently. The mini T3s is the same size as an Evod, but clear all round. The T3s are plastic, if glass is an issue.

The T3s uses different coils from the protank or evods, but from the point of view of rebuilding, they are the same kind of thing.

The ego batteries where the button changes colour as the charge runs down may be beneficial. But the other kind will flash and eventually refuse to work when the battery needs charging anyway.

Think about how he learns best: explanation from you, written explanation, watching a video on youtube, physically doing under your instruction at first. I'm sure he can get the hang of it with the right support.

I would think a protank or a t3s tank something just fill and go then if something happens its not expensive to replace.

I just love this and similar ideas. I use a Provari setup at home, but when I leave the house it's a T3s on a Joyetech Twist, which I can almost afford to lose, and the T3s is unlikely to break. If you hadn't mentioned her uncle seems able to replace the coil head, I would choose the CE4.

My advice would be to no matter what you pick, wait to give it to him until you know you will see him for a few hours so you can show him how to use it, only fill it half way so he can see/ taste what its like when its low, and show him how to refill it. At least that's how I would handle it if my sister with downs wanted to vape
