To keep on topic; this thread is about "what's cool". Being nice to people, and saying and doing things that makes their lives better, is "cool" IMO. (That, and Snoop Dog lol)

You're right, I went way off topic. I'm sorry, for real. Also, it's Snoop Dogg. With two Gs. Also Snoop Dogg hasn't been cool for like a decade.

I didn't mean to insult people, the members of this forum have been a huge help to me and are awesome in my book. It's just that I've noticed we're all, you know, old. Kids these days (under 30) don't smoke, and probably won't smoke, and since most of us were smokers who turned to vaping this means vaping is pretty much a time-limited enterprise. This might be why our products our so poor quality. There's no reason to create brand recognition that lasts more than 20 years, because most vapers won't live more than 20 years. Either vaping becomes fun for the kids, or vaping dies with us on this forum. I'm not happy either. Makes me sad. Sad face.

At some point, typically in the early 20s, most people realize that what other people think is cool doesn't matter. It's all high school bull...., fed by insecurity and the lack of experience/perspective of youth.

Psychologically speaking, it's mildly interesting that you still give it any thought at 30.

Lol this is truth cookie monster!

All right, that's it - the gloves are off!! LOL

And crap, of course you're right that there are two "g's" in "Snoop Dogg". Shows you how "cool" I am, which is not very. :)

Red, you're all right. Thanks for being "cool" about everything.

Hmm, just saw this: "It's just that I've noticed we're all, you know, old".

I am not old; I only turned 59 two weeks ago, so I won't be old for another 11 1/2 months. :)

1. Vaping will always be more popular with older people than younger people because older people are more desperate to stop smoking. It takes time to build that desperation!

2. Vaping is particularly more popular with older people now than it will be with older people in the future who were raised during a time when smoking was something you went outside to do (and, therefore, wasn't so much a part of every moment of your life!).

3. I'm so attracted sometimes to all the cool and interesting looking things! (More a girly thing than a young, cool thing though) I like the silver and the black 510 XL sized ecigs. I also like my purple and my green 900 mah Ego batteries with the new Stardusts. I also absolutely love the 306 on 510 batteries, or even on 650 mah Ego batteries (still short enough to be cute with a 306 on it). They're so cute! And, you can match the drip-tip color to the battery color with a 306.

I don't like totally girly-looking things. I have never bought a pale, little-girl-pink battery! And none of my stuff sparkles! But, I am girly in that I do like pretty things and cool-looking things. Black, stainless, and deep, rich colors. Kind of cool? Or just pretty?

Cool ........ gotta be bigger than anyone elses or smaller than anyone elses. None of that in between stuff is cool.

Oh and I'm 70, and my car is faster than yours!

70??? Holy crap, what a fossil! Well at least when you fall and break a hip you'll be able to stealth vape while you're in the hospital LOLOL

You should make a "Life Alert" commercial - "Help, I've fallen and I can't reach my PV!"

Now if you're still talking to me, what car are you referring to? I'm looking to acquire a nice fast one myself; it's never too late to have a mid-life crisis lol

Hummm, wonders if I can incorporate Life Alert into my PV

I owned an auto restoration company, so a lot of hot rods passed through my hands. The "Breadvan" was probably the most unique car I ever had in the shops. (and most expensive)
There are quite a few cool Ferrari's, but only one #2819

Everyone saying that they dont care what is cool or not, is full of sh on some level. Yes, varying degrees with age, demographic, etc, but you still care. Otherwise you wouldnt shower as often, youd be wearing red sweatpants with an orange t shirt to the movies, (examples not to be taken literally), but you should get the point. Its not so much that you dont care, its that your demographic has changed, and you (hopefully) have changed with it.

Not caring is what has lead this country to be morbidly obese by the age of 4, people in general just not taking care of themselves, along with im sure hundreds of other examples.

    Heres my opinion.

There is nothing "cool" about vaping. I have no interest in looking cool while vaping, thats not what its purpose is, at least for me. I am using it to fill the void of smoking, to replicate that habitual addiction as close as possible to help me avoid using cigarettes, and thats it. If your vaping to look "cool", then i think (my opinion) your doing it for the wrong reason.

After reading several actual LOL posts, I think this thread is pretty cool. There was someone on an obscure online game forum that you remind me of, redbucket.

Anyway, for a 40-something techno-geek, e-cigs are pretty cool. Both for what they represent in potential reduced harm, and for the hobby potential of trying to make the one that is perfect for me.

If anyone doesn't think so, then I reject their version of what's cool, and substitute my own. That's just how I roll.

tj, that is an awesome car and a great video. I don't know how the hell that little Cobra-type got by him at around 3:00, but I love the way Max blew right back by him again like he was standing still. He must have dozed off for a momemt. lol

    BEAUTIFUL car, thanks for sharing!

Oh, back on-topic; "What's cool"? That Ferrari is cool!

Lower the barrier to entry (and, in my opinion, there are only two left: accessibility and awareness), and this can easily replace smoking as a socially acceptable habit (I'm sorry, was I supposed to use the word "cool"?). It depends on the crowds you hang out with and the lifestyle but I probably know more smokers than non-smokers - anywhere from 18 on up. Is it cool? Who knows. Is it something that comes with the territory? Probably.

That being said, I think that's what's "cool" with the PVs in the first place. All the different gear, colors, shapes, sizes, outputs, and experiences for just about anyone under the sun.

And, of course, this will end up starting a flame war with hipsters saying that they vaped before it was mainstream.

I just want to say that I was really drunk when I made this thread. I woke up the next day going "Thank god I focused my drunkenness on ECF instead of Facebook this time around." But, going over this thread now, thanks to all who commented. This is a really cool forum, even us old people are pretty cool. The decent conversation and general kindness of this thread proves that.
