I once had fresh green beans and potatos with chicken stock..I think. can anyone give me recipe? It was wonderful!

Is this it?
It's the only one I know:)

Southern Green Beans

6 slices bacon, chopped
3 tablespoons butter
1 red onion, chopped
2 pounds fresh green beans, trimmed and snapped
8 small new potatoes, diced
1 large clove garlic, minced
1/4 cup chicken broth
1 1/2 teaspoons white balsamic vinegar
salt and pepper to taste
Directions

  1. Place the chopped bacon in a skillet, and cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until evenly browned, 8 to 10 minutes. Drain the bacon pieces on a paper towel-lined plate.
  2. Melt the butter in a skillet with a lid over medium-low heat, and cook and stir the onion until translucent, about 5 minutes. Stir in the cooked bacon, green beans, potatoes, garlic, and chicken broth. Bring to a boil, cover, and simmer over low heat until the green beans are tender

tonight's dinner was "pantry/fridge raid stir-fry noodles":

basically i take whatever meat and veggies i have on hand, stir fry it with sauce and some type of noodles or rice and serve. :D

for this version i used rice noodles, ground pork, shrimp, napa cabbage, scrambled eggs, green onions and garlic. the basis of the sauce i use is a mixture of soy sauce, fish sauce, salt and sugar, but i'll usually use add some other herbs or seasonings depending on what i have or feel like. my boyfriend and i have this at least once a week before we do a big grocery shopping trip. ;)

I think I read somewhere that cantaloupe is part of the same family that causes hayfever......I rarely eat it but haven't had any issues (I have hayfever)

Be careful of chamomile too - that I have reacted to - and no warnings are ever found on teas, shampoos, body washes, etc.

Not that I know of MK. I never used to get hives from cantalope before but usually only ate a slice or two. This time I ate the whole thing in 2 days. The Dr at the medi center said to stay away from the cant. at the time because they could be 'funny' that way. Maybe I OD'd on it or something! LOL

Oh we had some wonderful tacos tonight. I backed some chicken thighs low and slow with onions until the onions were caramelized and the chicken was falling apart tender and juicy. Shredded it- threw it in some freshly friend corn tortillas with sharp cheddar and spinach. Not your usual spicy mexican style taco but quite nice. Wish I'd had an avocado and some sprouts on hand!
