We just finished up the green beans and red potatoes cooked with bacon. It gets better each time you heat it up, lol. You southern folks know what I'm talking about. It's all gone now, but I can't wait for the next batch. If you've never tried this, you don't know what you're missing. rsmith76

Since I am making a pork roast with sauerkraut and apples tonight, I am going to attempt to make spaetzle for the first time.
Notice I said "attempt".
Spatzle is a type of egg noodle but it's more like the consistency of gnocchi...like cushiony. You have to make the dough and push it through a colander or a slotted spoon into the boiling water (unless you have a fancy spatzle maker). Then I'm going to saute them in some butter to give them some color afterwards.
