ok so I ordered some more stuff from cignot the other day and im not sure what's going on with the shipping. everything else I have ordered from them came with no problems but this order is messed up. The tracking number says it took four days to get from chicago to my hometown, which is fine. After that though, its been saying that its delivered and signed for, I never got anything! anybody have any insight? I've called the post office and they seem to know nothing.....this isn't good for me im out of juice and may have to go back to analogs if it doesnt show tomorrow.......

I thought it was just my ridiculous small town post office! Not just this week, but for the past 6-8 months, just awful. Not only is it with incoming, but outgoing mail as well.

Snow? No mail for days? Since when?

And, how can they update tracking numbers as "delivered", when they weren't? How does that happen? It's happened to me - twice in the same week last month. Gone, dunyuns... but as long as they say it was "updated and it says delivered, sorry" - that's ok?

arrgh :(

Gives a whole new meaning to "snail mail"

Carriers sometimes scan packages at the end of their shift for delivery the next day. It's actually pretty common. Even carriers in Canada do it as well.

I had the same thing happen once, tracking showed it as delivered but I hadn't received anything. I called the Post Office to find out what happened. They explained the carrier scanned it before the end of their shift to deliver it the next day... something about saving time or what not. They're technically not supposed to do this, but a lot of them do. Usually before the weekend.

It's happened a few times to me, but the package always showed up the next day.

ok so i just talked to my brother and apparently another package that i got last week(some car parts) were shipped to the same address one block over, thankfully the ppl who live there were kind enough to bring it over, but still two screw-ups within a week from each other?....I would definitely pay for fed-ex or ups shipping if it was an option.....

Oh I am having the same problems. Ordered on Tuesday from California, and I live in Oregon. (You know, the next state above it.) It's saying it's being "processed" in Anaheim since then. Probably no hope to even get it tomorrow (Saturday), as it still has to go through Portland to get to my town. So I order on Tuesday from CA and will get in on the next Monday in OR. SIX days for something I could drive down and back to get in half that time. (Of course not worth the gas or the terror of mountain roads in the winter.)

WTF???

bums me out about your cignot order, lol i was hoping to get mine today but no. that is ok as long as it is monday but our service has been terrible lately all around too. 1 shipment of coral-dead, 2 shipments of live rock-lost the third replacement was late. 2 times that i know of a pkg was shipped back and forth between several cities in opposite directions for a week. before this last fall i always recieved terrific service from the mail and my small town PO. i heard that several routs were eliminated to save money so this is part of the reason for the weird pkg directions and deliveries.

I'll take USPS over UPS any day. But I live in Manhattan so USPS never has a problem finding me. UPS has a tendency to find my apartment only after crushing the box or putting it on the wrong truck or something. (This happens whether I ship to my apartment or my office so it's not the same delivery guy.)

If USPS says it was signed for, they have to have the signature. Who signed for it? Then you should be able to find out where it is.

My last two orders from Vapor4Life have been "misrouted" or "missent"

The first time it took 6 days to get it... and I'm only 150 miles from Chicago where V4L is located. They sent it to a post office about 60 miles south of here where it sat for three days being listed as "Available at PO Box/Out for delivery"

The last time it said something along the lines of "Your package was misrouted but we're taking every effort to get to the proper destination"

Priority mail my ***

I orderd from litecig on the twelfth. On the 13th,my tracking response was the picked up the package at Jersey. Today the same info. I don't believe they have anyone updating the tracking info. The last time I ordered from the US had the same thing happen. So I called up Wordup. He explained that the tracking is merely for the senders protection. It was signed as picked up, and was signed when delivered. Nothing in between.

What's stupid where I live everything shipped through our local post office has to go through Shreveport which is l50 west of us. We will mail a package going east but it has to go the Shreveport first and then goes back east. All of our mail comes back through Shreveport no matter where its coming from. My husband prefers USPS over UPS or Fedex for his business. We do have better luck with USPS. They also have better rates for smaller packages. Usually their tacking information is pretty reliable.

A lot of it all depends on your local post office. The one we use is very efficient.

I run several ecommerce sites and the snow in the east really messed up everything down here. We're not equipped to handle snow. A large USPS processor collapsed from the snow, because down here, we don't build things to handle a snow load. UPS/USPS/FedEX were not delivering to many states for a few days, then there was a holiday. So bear with your suppliers, this situation is beyond their control. With all the backlogs of deliveries, missed routes, airport closing and general chaos, shipping is getting back to normal. We have been waiting for a package that was supposed to arrive 2/06 and is till not in the shop yet. It happens, but thank goodness it doesn't happen often.
