My Duke mod blows it's nose in your general direction!

All kidding aside, I'll probably pick up a provari after I buy a Reo. Have a Vamo now which I love but it's a little wonky now and then and I can tell it won't last forever. Worked well for what I needed it for and I would stand behind a suggestion to buy a Vamo but it isn't a forever mod.

Then again, how could you appreciate one if you didn't step up to it from something else? Think about it, if all you ever drove was a $100K car you wouldn't appreciate it nearly as much as someone who drove a green Gremlin with a yellow driver's door for the first two years they had their license, then a Rabbit, an old school Honda CVCC, then a 1970 Buick Skylark, onto an old used dirt colored Subaru hatchback....you get the idea.

If you started there you'd be like "meh, it's a Provari. So what? Aren't they all like this?"

Even google images lacks the capacity to provide adequate face palmage for this recurring thread theme.

It's one thing to point out that someone bought what on the surface appears to be a high dollar and high current gold plated marital aid. It's quite another to ask them to explain why they bought it and expect them to go on the defensive and justify their purhase on a weekly basis.

It more comes down to the quality of the battery inside than the fancy LCD screens and dozens of nifty ways to set the wattage/voltage. If you have an awesome device but a wonky battery, well then you have a wonky device in the end.

They work hand in hand. Why not use an awesome device with awesome batteries in it for an awesome vape?

Many people on this forum use the Panasonic NCR18650B 3400mAh battery in their regulated mods. I assume they buy this battery because of its high mAh rating. There's much more to choosing the right battery than just picking the battery with the most mAh in it.

That battery is a hybrid battery with its chemistry heavily weighted to the ICR end of the fence. For all practical purposes you should consider it an ICR battery. It is not a high-drain battery, which the pulse buck boost circuitry needs for optimum performance of the regulated mod. Using this battery may give long battery time, but it will not allow the mod to use higher voltages as designed by the manufacturer. People who use these batteries are cheating themselves out of their mods best performance.
