I used cotton balls, then bought (Amazon) set of Japanese pads from 3 manufacturers (15 from each), hoping to find which one is better. Decided to use one pad of each then decide what I like better. Started with KGD three months ago. Still less than 1/3 of one pad used - I rewick about once in 3 weeks. Looks like I've got a lifetime supply of pads (45 of them total).
Do not see any difference in vape quality between balls and pads, but pads are mach more easy to work with.
I bought that same sample pack and to be honest i can't tell any difference in the vape , they are all excellent.
I have used just about everything from organic cotton balls , Peaches and Cream yarn , Ramie to Rayon and now just stick to Japanese cotton .
Imo, there is no superior material out there that is head and shoulders above the rest , they are all so ridiculously close in vaping quality and it's hard to tell differences , especially major differences .
Subtle differences , sure i will give you that but i don't buy it when people say one is vastly superior to another.
