I used to collect drip tips but no longer. They just keep getting bigger and bigger. Got to up those wattages to 500 now and just have an ecig in the room....just get a fog machine. The vendors are happy they sell twice as much juice as before lol to the clueless masses. It's really getting ridiculous, and to think we just wanted to quit smoking.

The Velocity Mini suits high power applications, and for high power setups the chuff cap is a must for me. It isn't a faux chuff that bottlenecks down at the actual connection to the atomizer. The key here is the path from coil to mouth-hole is almost completely unobstructed, so flavor is still really good even at high power/airflow. It also makes dripping through the tip a breeze. I think it looks the bollocks on the Velocity too as an added bonus.

Well, that's where I guess I look at this whole vaping thing differently ... I vape to keep off cigarettes (been working for me for 3 years now) ... I guess some others are more interested in winning some cloud blowing contest.

Oh well ....
I also vape to keep off cigarettes (been working for me for almost 5 years now), and I prefer higher wattage, direct lung, big drip tip vaping....because it works for me (and I would bet many other vapers as well). I have seen variations of your above statement countless times on this forum by many different members. Why is it that so many ECF members believe that because someone vapes differently than they do, they are not vaping to keep off cigarettes? This underlying attitude on ECF towards those that are not "tootle puffers" is almost becoming comical.

I use a "knuckle" tip on my REO with an RM2, not to cool but it works for an old guy who has been off cigarettes for over three years. I've tried other things, one with wide bore, but I just keep coming back. My New Year's resolution is to try nothing new and then chase kids off the grass. Whatever works is what is "right".

I'm not a cloud chaser, nor am I trying to win any contests. I've never attended a cloud comp, nor do I have any plans to. But, for most of my smoking career, I mainly smoked pipes and cigars. I only smoked cigarettes occasionally. I like a big, thick, full vapor. As for juice consumption, I don't care. I've been DIYing nearly as long as I've been vaping. I started making my own juice almost right away. The cost is minimal.
What's up with people saying and thinking that if you don't vape the way they do, it's wrong, or stupid? I couldn't care less how anybody vapes.

That looks a lot like one of my favorite tips. Might be the same one...

Tips DO make a noticeable difference in the draw and the overall vape.
And heck, it can be an inexpensive way to experiment.
And like everything else - preference is personal.

I must have 60 drip tips. Probably 30 of them, I don't use anymore because they are too restricted. Probably 10 or more of them I never liked, but they cost $2 and looked worth trying.

And yes - I match a tip or two to an atty, finding a pairing that I like.
Typically, I run "medium bore". Bigger than some, but not a full "chuff".

I use a wide bore derringer style drip tip on my SV rda clone because it's easy to drip through. May be it's not considered wide bore compared to the latest fashion. I just tried a traditional longer drip tip with a smaller bore. I think i prefer the taste and vapor tecture from the wider tip.

I agree with you but the low information vapers lime them because they are used in cloud comps.

Give me a simple drip tip as seen on my avatar and i'm happy.

How does choosing a drip tip make someone a "low information" vaper? So after 5+ plus years and finding something that works great for me and many others make us less superior. Everyone is in this for relatively the same reason, we all vape, and vape differently. Don't care what you vape or how you vape it, just don't assume that everyone that prefers a wide bore drip tip is a low information cloud bro because it isn't your style. :2c:

Exactly why I had to stop coming here for a while, what works for me to stay off the stinkies automatically turns me in to a cloud comp, giving vaping a bad name in public, low informed, DTL vaper...

A wide bore 510 is the widest I went for quite a while. A couple extra mm really makes a huge difference for how I like to vape now. Too wide is as much of a problem as too narrow. It's dependent on the atomizer, build, draw pressure, and preferred vape temp.

Too wide for me, but I bet someone out there is sporting a setup that needs this (ID ~18mm):
