Ok so Im considering an ego...but...it seems like the only selling point of the ego is longer battery life.

I am currently vaping with a 510 straight out of the box no mods or LR atomizers. I need to change my battery about once every three hours of near constant vaping. That doesn't bother me at all. I purchased the big starter kit with the car charger, two separate plug in chargers and later purchased a PCC, though that was just so I had something to carry things in, though it has become my main charger now.

What I dont understand is: we replaced our analogs every time we wanted another. We had to make special trips to the gas station every day to get more analogs. We all lit a cigarette or two off the stove when we couldnt find a match or lighter. Ash trays!!! All that inconvenience from analogs and yet, it seems like changing a battery every three hours is a problem?

What other benefits comes from owning an ego?

Cause if its just battery life, I think Id rather buy some more juice with that money.

Please, convince me. ( I'm jonesing to spend some money on my new hobby lol )

With an eGo you can use LR attys... Plus bigger batteries hold on to a charge longer and stay above 4 volts a lot longer than a standar 180mah 510 batt... actually a standar 510 batt is only like 3.4 volts I believe.

The eGo I got from Tasty Vapor charges to a full 4.2 volts. More voltage = more throat hit and vapor production

I thought the same thing at first. I had two full 510 kits and kept all four batteries going plus a PCC that I never used. The problem is the constant hassle. Go camping or go out for a night or two and it gets to be a pain in the rear end after a while.

I wan't my e-cig to give good consistant hits all day. Not just when it feels like it. Plus wait a while and see how long those batteries last. within a few months they you will be changing them ever hour or so. Then you have to go buy more and again you are stuck with an expensive fancy looking battery.

If I had it to do over again, I would have started with a nice mod that uses at least 14500 batteries they are cheap they stay charged a long time and you don't have to ask your buddy if you can plug in your charger at their house or at the bar (like I used to when I played all night gigs).

But hey what ever works, works right?

It can't be an Ego if it's 4.2 volts, Ego's are only 3.4v at best.

Yeah with brand new 510 batteries you're not gonna feel too inconvenienced. In about a month though you're gonna see them needing to be charged every 2 hours instead of 3, two months and they might be down to almost an hour.

In contrast the eGo batteries start out at 12 hours and maybe after a few months you've still got an 8 hour battery. While mine (4-5 months old now) used to make it almost 48 hours real time usage, I'm definitely closer to 24 now until I change em.

Another thing about the eGo battery besides being "just a bigger battery" is that it's got much more sophisticated electronics. I'm not going to pretend to be an expert, but I do know that the the eGo battery consistently delivers voltage to the atty unlike a regular 510. It hits just as good from freshly charged to when it does the blink of death, and when they're out they're out. Can't say the same about regular 510 batteries that slowly drop off in performance as they discharge.

been vaping w/stock 510's and had a pcc the whole time. However I am currently awaiting a Little Sis mod, which should have better batt life but most important to me is higher voltage. Once ya get used to it not so bad but after such along time I am in need of a change. ps. never had any mod what so ever

Its not made by Joye. Its an eGo clone. They have them at Tasty Vapor.

I had to go look this up, as I was all confused... Now I understand, Janty designed, Joye is the manufacturer... I have a Janty eGo, and always thought all the others were clones, now I see Janty or Joye eGo are originals and all the others are clones!
