Actually, it isn't capitalism when you rig the game. Currency fixing and violating internationally recognized human rights laws are not part of "capitalism." Also, there is a reason we have copyright, trademark, patent laws. If we allow people to grab your work that took time, effort, and money to develop the day it comes out and rip it off the next day, no one would take the time to make new things.

"everything is a clone of something else" are you kidding? While certain attributes of a class of products may be common, there have been hundreds of new things in vaping alone in the past few years.

power, juice, wick and/or coil- what exactly has really changed? and no, I am not kidding. name ONE thing that doesn't have someone else making a version of the that thing.............. and of course it's rigged, we wouldn't have our capitalism any other way(or haven't you been paying attention!)

I see way more people saying get a Vamo lately than Provari, but in my opinion I am glad I have a Provari as it will always perform and be there :) I have no desire to get a Vamo or a mech or build my own coils etc, I am happy with what I have. So what ever works! bnrk

You should try a Vamo, and mechs, and RDAs :D

This is a correct perspective. At the end of the day, I don't really care as long as I am happy with my vape and you are with yours. Problem comes when posters say something to the effect of - "Go ahead and vape on X if it works for you, just understand it's not a ProVari."

It's the self-congratulating and the way every. single. post somehow devolves into reminding others that they own one.

Freud would ask some folks around here to lay on the couch and tell him about their mothers.

Sometimes a mod is just a mod... :p

Atomizers->Cartomizers->Clearomizers->Tanks->Rebuildables

Pen Style->Full Mod->Variable Voltage->Variable Wattage

PG->VG->combinations of

And then we have industry standards now on nic content that we didnt have before thanks to that whole fiasco 2-3 years ago.

And I didnt even cover all the little iterations like the 510, 901, 880, etc.

Alot has changed in vaping in the last 3-5 years.

Making a 'version of something' is completely different than iterating on something.

That is what the patent system is for, creating the initial design of something and licensing it out for others to build on top of. This way, the inventor doesnt loose out on a bunch of his invention revenue because someone else took his idea and made it better. The original inventor is supposed to have his technology patented so that he makes a SMALL royalty off of his original idea.

But we arent talking about patents...

I admit I do like waffles because of the syrup pockets to give a big blast of flavor but there's so much extra stuff to buy. Then your cheap Chinese waffle maker goes down and you're stuck making pancakes because you used all the eggs in the waffle mix instead of going straight to the French toast.

Bah! Puny human! There can be only one...wait for it

a far superior device such as the Vamo for $60 from Smoktech
really?
I think Smoktech couldve gotten away with $80-$100 for the Vamo,
again.. really?

s some in the tech industry do for companies like Apple

apple makes overpriced underpowered devices that use 2 year old tech and call it superior. disregarding the OS the actual devices deserve to be called out for what they really are. and non apple fans cannot understand the blind loyalty.

There is also the Zatty, which for whatever reason, gets the same amount of hate as the Provari.

as someone who has owned pretty much any genesis thats readily available the zap is being priced on pedigree alone and not the construction or features, most people like me who dont like them cant understand how this is worth 150 when for the same pricepoint there is much better.

I own many mods as well as 3 provari's and it is exactly what it claims to be nothing more. the strongest built and the most accurate voltage.
the only mod i have seen to hold its own against the provari is my semovar. but too many people are worried about bells and whistles and they dont seem to understand what the provari is offering. and get offended. the best mod will be the one YOU enjoy best. but time and time again many are so pleased with the performance and build quality they readily offer up their opinion and then get offended when they are slammed for their choice.
the fanboys are another story i agree, and its not so much the provari but the rabid fans senseless gushing that is getting bashed.

You got that right.

I was a Systems Engineer with Apple for 6 years. Hardware wise they are always a step behind, with exception of the G3 processor.

The only thing they do well is operating systems. That's enough. But when you are right- you're right.
