i use riva and ego 510s personally. and with the excellent performance and price of the riva through LF, i cannot ask for a better kit for anyone to start with. my friends have been watching me use my PVs for some time now, and some of them have become interested, if not converted.

i now keep several rivas on hand to just sell to the people that ask me about them, instead of having to find a pen and paper to write down all the websites i recommend. i add $5 to the cost of course for my trouble. but my primary motive is to get people off the analogs as much as possible.

so why is it that one of my closest friends went out and spent $100 on a PV thats decent, but just costs too much, when he could have gotten one from me at less than half of that? the response i got was... "because its YOU". this has happened on several occasions with other things as well.

now, these are my friends, and whatever they do, is up to them. i dont take any offense to it really. its just how we are. im not ....-hurt that he didnt buy it from me. im ....-hurt that he had to drop $100 on a unit that is IMO just OK hahaha. oh well. its his money. hahaha

A lot of people don't want to buy from friends because they feel they'd be "indebted" somehow. Whether it's financially or psychologically. That's why they don't listen to friend's advice either. Don't want to feel dumber than, less than, whatever. It think it's that competitive thing. "I'm just as smart as you are. I can figure it out myself". And they're right. They can and they will, and make all the mistakes that we all make along the way.
