Wow Adeline! I had no idea your nic levels were so low. Do you even feel the nic at those levels? I would love to try to get to at least 6mg in six months and hopefully 0-3 in a year. Btw with the last post ( 150th) I became a senior member! Omg I'm such a nerd but that made me happy
Hehe, I went to a vape meet a week ago and was the lowest nic vaper in the room (of 50 or so people)!
I don't know if I "feel" the nic. When I chain vape I can feel my heart speed up a little. But I certainly don't get a nic buzz. I started at 18mg ages and ages ago, stepped to 12 easily, stepped to 6 not-so-easily, and alternated between 12 and 6. Stayed there for a while. Slipped for 3 months, and started back at the 12mg in April 2012. Since then, I think I went down to 6, then 3, then 2. Tried 1mg but it was too soon. And so I've been at 2mg for ... 7-ish months?
All that stepping down felt pretty natural, and I wouldn't feel bad about stepping up if I ever needed to. But I really want to see what it's like to get down to zero.
Recently (last 2 months or so) I'd been extended periods (12 hours give or take) without vaping at all. I notice it for 2-3 minutes after eating and the craving goes away.
I think my addiction at this point is less nicotine, and more habit, hand to mouth, and flavor. I will be testing that theory in the coming months though.
All I can tell you is, take it slow and listen to your body. It can come naturally, if you want.
But getting down to lower nic usually means you're sacrificing TH, or finding creative ways to add TH to your DIY mixes.

My current flavor (death by berries - blueberry, strawberry, raspberry, blackberry) packs one HECK of a TH, it's either the fruit itself or the touch of menthol.
