I was wondering what ppl prefer to wick with. I use kgd alot but it breaks down on me so fast like 2 days is max and even then im pushing it. I recently tried cotton bacon its pretty nice dry hits are not choking like with kgd but until it breaks in it tastes just like im sucking on a tee shirt. I have drago cotton on order some Egyptian cotton looks kinda ragged but i see some positive reviews on it. I have never tried rayon as my sally store only sells cotton based and the lady there not very helpful on trying to get a box of rayon in after i told her why it had to be rayon... Any one get it online maybe something under 100 feet 10 would be optimum but ill take what i can get as i have no other options.

I've been using the Shiseido cotton pads and have had fantastic results so far. I can go through about 7-10 ml before it's time to rewick and I've never had it taste like t-shirt in any circumstance. I've paid 11$ for 200 pads and that each pad gets me several wicks. Works out pretty cheap for the consistency and quality of the material.

I use the 100% cotton Cellucotton from Sallys

Saturate your wick well and there's no "t-shirt" taste...that only occurs in my case if I don't thoroughly soak the wick while coiling....

You can get 40 foot boxes or 500 footers...I started out with a 40 I got online for $8 shipped and I'm like three months into it with still a ton left. I rewick once a day (about 10 mls) on my primary RTA--need it or not ;) -- and every couple days on the others.

I find the $2.49/80pc bag of organic cotton balls at Walgreens works just fine. The japanese cotton does wick better, but with my 84% PG juice I have no wicking issues, so the excellent wicking of expensive japanese cotton is mostly wasted on me.

I don't have any idea why, but organic cotton balls really do taste better than plain old sterile cotton balls.

I use sugar and cream white cotton yarn. I cut off about 20 or 30ft of it and boil it in bottled water let it dry over night or nuke it in the microwave for a minute or so and it's good to go. Less than $2.00 for a roll that will last me for years. It's as easy to use as silica wick, in that there is no guesswork in getting the thickness right. It works great for me, I've personally never had a dry hit and I have one atty that I use every night that I haven't re wicked or coiled in over a month and it's still working great. I should mention that I use them in kayfuns and I cut them off flush with the deck. Don't know why more people don't use it, cotton balls always tasted like t shirts or had a bad antiseptic type taste to me, and bamboo thread just tasted really bad to me. I will admit have never tried rayon or hemp, but I personally just don't trust those because of the caustic stuff they have to use to get it degummed (even though they are probably fine to use). I'm just mentioning it, because nobody seems to use it anymore for some reason.

I have thought about using the yarn wick but have been skeptical as not many use it and not alot of info on it. Seems like it be really nice to work with as its a bit more durable than regular cotton. I will definitely give it a try as rewicking 2 tanks getting tedious day after day.

It used to be fairly popular back when people started experimenting with cotton and all things not silica. I have used it without boiling it, and it tastes a lot better after boiling for about 20 min. Seems to wick a bit better too. I boil it it bottled water, and then I rinse it with bottled water after boiling. I'm sure there are some RTA's that it doesn't work well with, a lot of the newer Atties seem to be designed to take a ton of cotton, but they probably need a lot more wicking material to sub ohm. Perfect for kayfuns and the way I vape. I don't think cloud chasers would appreciate it though. Single coil builds over 1 ohm, it works great. I have never tried to sub ohm with it, so keep that in mind. With all things vaping these days you can't declare one thing supierior to another, just some things work better than others for different applications. It used to be the case in the early days of vaping that you almost could declare one thing superior to another, all this stuff was a lot easier to figure out...But those days kinda sucked when you compare what was available then as to what's available today....

Well do to the fact that the juice I use gunks a coil in 24hours or less.. No matter what type of wick I use. I use plain old cotton balls, because they are: Simple, cheap and easy.
Someday, when the wife buys it for a crotchet project, I'll try some cotton yarn.
In a perfect world I would probably still use silica, best flavor, IMO, but I find cotton so much easier to feed into a coil, I'll give up a bit of flavor.

Rayon cellucotton from Sally's. Easily ordered online, or if you just wish to try some out hit ebay or the Rayon thread here (there are always those that have some to spare). It does take a bit of time to get the install method down when coming from cotton experience, but once you get it, rayon delivers pure flavor, zero leaking or dry hits, and less re-wicking.

I used to be a big fan of Peaches & Cream cotton yarn, particularly with KFLs - so easy to thread through a coil and lay on the deck. When I started using GP Spheroids the cotton yarn wicks would lose their form and I find that KGD wicks hold up a lot better for me, so I now use KGD in all of my atomizers.
