when do i replace the ss mesh

how do you no when to replace your mesh and coil? is there a certain time that you should replace the mesh or do you just keep on vaping till your mod dont fire then replace? its been about a month and im just curious if i should build a new coil and if so can i use the old mesh or do i replace it when i build a new coil ? i would think it will start to taste funny or weird but im not sure any help with this from an experienced genesis user im using an orion v2.1

I usually replace my coil when the black stuff is so thick and crusted up that i can't chip it off anymore, and that's normally about a week, twice if I'm vaping something sweet. But I've used the same wick for about a month and a half now, i think its getting close to being replaced (although there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with it, i just wanna), i just need to order some more mesh.
