The problem is that the Government sees this as a way to make money they aren't concerned about if it bad or good they want ways to pay off their debts and if so so be it as many have said it beats smoking what scares me is the news that the University of Missouri banning the use of any nicotine by any of their employees while at work or at home now that's something to be concerned about if they can do it who els will?

Considering Health Canada seems to have it's tongue up the FDA's ..., I figure I'll start stockpiling/going to the doctor to get some prescription help in the space between the FDA imposing it's will down there and the time Health Canada does up here.

I'm not going down without them hearing about it though. lol

In the meantime though... I suppose it would make sense to finally lower the nicotine dose in the juice I buy.

The time to prepare for the storm is not while the sirens are going off.
Yes however I assume there will always be loop holes. For instance, as cigarettes started to skyrocket, I just invested in a solid cigarette machine and started using RYO tobacco. While they did eventually slap a tax on this, I was still rolling 5 cartons of premium tobacco for around $35 that tasted better then anything Marlboro ever put out. But I will consider stocking up, just in case.

Funny you mentioned that, I went the RYO route for about two years, and switched to pipe tobacco after new taxes pushed the price of a pound of cigarette tobacco from $17 a pound to $50 a pound overnight.

(The "pipe tobacco" was just repackaged cigarette tobacco, for those that are wondering)

Which pipe brand were you using? All the pipe RYO I was trying was pretty rough. All I could really use was McClintock or Rave which cost $11.99 for 3oz or $30.99 for 8oz. Pretty ridiculous compared to the price before taxes but I was still rolling three cartons for under $40 after tobacco, tubes and tax.

Gambler brand. 1# green bags. It was the same menthol blend I'd been buying before, but they modified the cut slightly to be able to sell it as pipe tobacco.

I was buying over the border in WV (lower cigarette taxes) and the $17/lb pipe tobacco was right next to its $50/lb cigarette "cousin" at the store I shopped at.

Ok. I never really used Gambler. I was smoking Kentucky Select and when the pipe tobacco came out, the flavor definitely changed. I tried a few others like Chris Cross and The Good Stuff and couldn't really use them without choking. Then I found a post on a RYO website recommending McClintock. The flavor blew me away and was even better then my real cigarettes. Lucky for me, I went almost strictly to vaping a couple months ago. Because as of a few weeks ago it's been discontinued.

Yep, I really didn't care for CC, never had The Good Stuff. The smoke shop I frequented had a bit of everything, and a shelf full of Gambler, and they also carried the Gambler tubes.

Good that you switched! ;-)
