Where has nicotine been outlawed?

Hi. I found this Dekang's site in Belgium with great prices and preposterous shipping prices. I also noticed they only sold 0 mg liquids and that if one wanted nicotine, they'd have to come from China, taking longer and so forth. I thought it was outrageous, especially when those "beautiful" countries don't outlaw analogs. But what do you expect from this Europe with the puppet Durão Barroso as the head of the European Commission and no union at all?

Anyway, I digress... My question is: in which european countries has nicotine been outlawed so far? Thanks.

Not the EU legislation, certainly not. In most countries, it is allowed so far. What worries me really is the undeniable pressure and how the EU is organized in such a way that those in Brussels and Strasbourg feel they have to show they do act in some way - generally, they act like idiots.

I know, there are several known shops in Spain and all. Hopefully, we'll be able to make the situation last as long as long can last (I've just invented this phrase, lol). Your socialist government is on its way out just like ours, right? And we all know how the socialists love to over-govern...

Yeah, congratulations on kicking yours out.I don't think our "future" government is going to be much better but they'll find it really hard to do worse.
I think proper regulation would actually be good for e-cigs,quality control etc...What i fear is EU knee-jerk reaction just like you said. We'll see,eh?.

Well, we're so stuck with the EU/IMF agreements that any government now will have to be pretty strict in following what the previous government (mostly) has agreed to. So, nothing frankly astounding during the next few years on this side. But at least we can hope things will eventually get better and some traditional national diseases may have been dealt with - hopefully. If the socialists had kept their corrupt and uninspired seats, we'd become a new Albania for certain. And then Spain... And then who knows who else?

It is a shame that there has not been a severe E. Coli outbreak within the commission buildings in Brussels, especially within the tobacco control department.

:)
That would solve many problems. And the losses would be negligible - the average European IQ could even rise.

In Switzerland, you would need a license to sell nic liquids within the country - as nobody has taken the trouble to obtain such a license, it's not possible to purchase from local shops (nic-free ones might be freely distributed). It's legal to import nic liquids for your own consumption though (restricted to some amount per month, in theory ;)), so this is not really a problem.

in germany in the moment is a big discuss over e-cigaretts. bases with nicotin are not allowedt o import

The governments in a few federal states are trying to ban vaping altogether and have made selling nicotin juices illegal. But so far, no one controls it and all the shops are doing business as usual.

The problem is, that there is (as yet) no law, that forbids selling nicotin juices. Not in Germany and not in the EU. So I presume, our government will try and push the EU to pass a law, that will ban vaping or at least nicotin juices.

Importing nicotin juices and hardware from outside the EU is nearly impossible at the moment. Customs are so strict, although there a no laws which prohibit it.

Yesterday the Health Department announced ban of NIC e-cig products sale in Greece, only non-nic liquids are allowed. Of course, there are many e-liquid stores around and they still sell liquids with nic. I guess we have to wait and see...

Dear fanifox, I'm going to Greece soon on long vacation (3 months). Will I have any problems with my e-cigs? I will bring some in and I would like to order new supplies while I'm there. I would really appreciate some insider info.

Darling, that's not a vacation, that's an immigration!! (BTW, I am so jealous!! 3 months!)
Well, although NIC is outlawed, they are thousands of shops selling e-cigs and e-liquids with nic, so I don't supposed you are going to have an issue there.
Maybe at the customs... I suggest you don't carry all of your gear on you, keep some in your suitcase.
Have a great time!

Retail sale of nicotine is illegal, but it is legal to import up to 3 months supply for your own use. Anything without nocotine - all the hardware and zero nic juces/carts - can be sold but there are no physical shops, only Internet. There are additional laws at state level regarding nicotine and they are so blurry that noone can interpret them with 100% certainty. For air travel read this Civil Aviation Safety Authority - eCigarettes and electronic cigarettes
