Not in Colorado yet!
Didn't miss your point, look at the start of the second sentence ;)

Just like "they can outlaw nicotine, I'm set for life" or "don't care, I have mods and attys for life" may be true for some people it still doesn't help those who need vaping the most. I don't see the majority of those trying to switch starting with DIY right away.

So you are advocating for all the folks who haven't started vaping yet.? I don't know about you, but when I started vaping I started with tobacco flavors. I gradually shifted to other flavors and vape nothing but fruit flavors today.

And don't get me wrong. Do I think what they are doing is not right, you bet I do. But being older, I know no amount of complaining is going to do anything. It is all about money, plain and simple. Call me cynical.

I didn't, some people I know also didn't but of course I know some that did. Thing is I find it unacceptable and irresponsible to make it harder for anybody to switch to vaping, a flavor ban would be just that.

I do all my advocating for not-yet vapers. Seriously, the minute I joined ECF I started preparing. I'm done, anything else I get is really a bonus. BUT.

In fact, Jeff Flake's intern just emailed me about my "concern for flavors." I haven't read it yet, his emails cause me major choler and I still have 3 days of steroids to go. Lemme go look, though, BRB.

ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He "apologizes for the delay," and points me to the rule that makes it the FDA's problem. Along with an invitation to visit his web page. For what, I wonder? Jeff Flake's intern, you really get me going sometimes.

Yeah, I advocate for never vapers, I don't tend to get very far. I consider more attention getting alternatives, like going to vape naked on Lincoln's lap in DC, but you know, that kind of advocacy gets you locked up. Even though I bet Lincoln would be fine with it and etc. Standing outside the White house and splashing Trump using a flavor that might turn his skin natural?

Still, you gotta. It's an exercises in futility, but as of almost one year ago, I was facing an oxygen tank. So, I sort of feel a debt of gratitude. Etc.

Moonshine's just fantastic whether legal or not. I have often thought... We could put a still somewhere. And then I have thought.... That is a very bad, bad idea. LOL.

Unfortunately my husband's ah, Martian landing pod or whatever one calls it, draws too much attention. LOL, the regulators in AZ-- my husband is digging a DITCH and putting concrete in it to move a wash, slightly. I'm worried once the concrete mixer comes out, they're going to demand a permit.

We have a neighbor a few doors down, who built a "party shack" that was super high up, tilted, and used 4 SINGLE two by fours as the "legs." I was just WAITING for the day (and hoping I saw it) but they made the dude tear it down. LOL.

As we live in the land of illegal shine, I'm married to a man who expresses serious concern that the revenue man will come knocking on our door because I bought too much yeast to bake with..

Hahaha..

That's a true story too. I ordered two pounds of yeast from King Arthur flour because i bake so much bread and it would save me money that way and when I told hubby he's all.. " You cant order yeast like that you'll bring the law!"

Hahaha..

I guess I started DIYing 4 years ago and never looked back. ;) Paying $20 for 30ml of juice is absurd. :-x I know you can now find it cheaper now, but not as cheap as I can make it. They can't outlaw flavors, only flavored e-juice. :D

Here it is $1 per ml ......insane so started making for some friends
Then again our gas is $1.50 a L just costs a lot here
Shopping in the US or using US dollars is hurting us a lot
But yeah......making your own is pretty darn easy

There is a guy in the building where I live that has to use a nebulizer at night that I really want to help out. He has tried vaping but also smoking at same time. I figured out he was a MTL vaper and gave him better battery and tank but I also mixed up some e liquids for him. He had been buying a tobacco flavour but I tried him out on a sweet .....he likes it but still not vaping more than smoking. Not sure what else I can do for him ........I had hoped the sweeter e liquid would increase his vaping. You can only do so much for helping out without being a nag lol

The proposed FDA ban of e-liquid flavors because candy, fruit, desert or other sweet flavors appealing to children has me ...... off. Adults like these flavors too. The powers that be don't seem very concerned that the same flavors are in alcoholic adult beverages. WHERE IS THE ALARM? Seems pretty hypocritical of our government to pick on the vaping industry and not the alcohol industry for doing the same thing.

Adults should keep e-liquids out of reach of their children. Vendors need to do a better job of keeping e-liquids out of minor's hands and check ID's. Adults who purchase alcohol or e-liquids for minors should be arrested and prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

We already have enough laws and regulations that are supposed to keep danger out of minors' hands. We only need better enforcement of those laws.

I sincerely hope every member on this message board filled out the Flavors Ban Poll!

I am terrified. Do really humans can consume such stuff? Divine alcohol and silly candy flavor? And (am I right?) you assume that humans even vape something like this?

I suspect that most people who are interested in trying vaping think they want tobacco flavors. I certainly did, and ordered a tobacco flavored sampler pack with my eGo style starter kit back in 2013. That stuff showed me the potential that vaping had, but what got me over the hump of not smoking at all was a couple of fruit flavors from a local shop.

I just noticed this thread and haven't read every post. So, if someone else has already mentioned it, my apology please. But, I haven't heard any similar concerns around the legal pot industry and their edible products.

The only mention I've noted was the rather low-key suggestion that these be kept away from minors. And of course, the same caution would hold true for non-tobacco eLiquid as well. Like others, it didn't take long after switching off of cigarettes for me to discover I wasn't actually that fond of tobacco flavors. When I smoked, I convinced myself that I liked the taste. But, that was the addiction talking and tobacco was the only source for the nicotine.
Thinking the Mods may edit your post. They will tone down vaping regulations once they've learned it's here to stay imo. BT will not be able to bully us away.

Um, rules state that only nicotine vaping (nothing else) can be discussed on the forum. You may want to remove that pic.

Anna,
I was aware of that rule being in place back when pot was illegal. I thought maybe things had come into the 21st century. My mistake. Besides, this entire thread was started with multiple images of alcoholic beverages with candy flavors. The last time I checked, nicotine isn't found in booze.

@NCC , I wasn't trying to offend you. In a lot of ways I agree with you. I just wasn't sure you were aware of it, I do understand your point and I think that the "unmentionable" subject does a ton less harm than alcohol.

As I said, not in charge, just passing it along. I hope you weren't upset. :(
