Last job i worked had a strict no smoking (including vaping) policy. Even getting seen with a mod, pen style, etc was grounds to be terminated. Didn't matter where on property it was. They went so far as to fire people who did either inside their own vehicle while on company property. We had a few who tried to bend the rules by stealth vaping, they were quickly caught and escorted off property. My experience so far, what really is banned is visible devices and visible vapor and may be detectable odor. Eliminate those and most people don't notice vaping and if they see you going through the motions but don't see anything else they don't react. (How can we be sure he pressed the fire button?) That's the way things are working out in the shop where I work. That's the way it worked for 2 long sits at airport gates over chriistmas including Newark Liberty and the way it worked in the Federal court house in Detroit last Spring for jury duty (in the jury room). Part of the hobby for me now is Vape-Where-No-Man-Has-Vaped-Before (and don't get called out).
If my shop were as strict about everything you're talking about it would lose all it's talent. It's not unusual for us to be working 65 hours a week (5 x 12 hours + 1 x 6 hours). A normal week is 55 hours. If personal life could never intrude like you are describing some of the guys would lose their families. When the shop is doing 65's my free time is an hour in the morning and 45 minutes in the evening, not much time to vape and I have to get breakfast and dinner in that time. If my work week was 40 hours that concentration camp you work in might be bearable.Last job i worked had a strict no smoking (including vaping) policy. While i vape, and don't agree with these policies, i abide by them. Their property, their rules. Vaping isn't worth my job. If i needed to vape that bad i toke a break and left property. If i can't go through a store, sit through a movie or any other activity with out sticking a mod in my mouth to vape then i have bigger issues going on. Imho stealth vaping and getting caught, and everyone gets caught eventually, surely doesn't help the image of vapers.

40 hour week? Hell when i worked there we put in 5 12s then 2 8s. Every week. 30 minute break in moring, hour lunch, 30 minutes in evening. Place also ran 24/7. Pay was awesome, so no shortage of people looking to get in, even with all their restrictions. If my shop were as strict about everything you're talking about it would lose all it's talent. Vaping is going the same way it has been going for the last few years: Vapers judging other vapers instead of supporting them. Doomed, I tell ya, doomed.you're not the only one to mention this kind of behavior and you wont be the last... but you are the current example... anyone who risks the ban hammer harder on all who vape, just because they get a thrill out of it, make it worse for the rest of us. this is no better than those whom other complain about with massive clouds, both are anti-social habits that makes it worse for the rest of us who vape and follow common curtesy rules. thanks!
there is a difference between different type of vaping gear and styles... and detrimental, deliberate behaviors that affect us all.Vaping is going the same way it has been going for the last few years: Vapers judging other vapers instead of supporting them. Doomed, I tell ya, doomed.
Clouds give the public the perception that if there's no visible vapor there's no vaping. If the device is small enough to conceal in a hand, if there is no visible vapor, and if I behave as though I don't want to be noticed, very few people notice and if they do there's no reaction. May be the cloud people make things easier for the rest of us.
I am not sure I understand your post @sofarsogood, I vape as I did when I smoked for my own pleasure and satisfaction having never been an exhibitionist.
What I do not understand in your post is: "How the cloud people make things easier for the rest of us?"
If anything they make it harder for us that do not wish to be noticed vaping.
Am I missing something here?
Yeppers that is exactly what I try to do. Stealth Vape! Why peeve people unecessarily.I think what sofarsogood was referring to is the general public associates vaping with big clouds of vapor (smoke to them). If you stealth vape with minimal cloud, folks don't realize it's vaping.
Not to mention horrid stinking smoke coming from trucks and buses burning diesel or what is worse that bio diesel. I got stuck in a traffic jam the other day behind a tourist coach burning bio diesel and the stench made me throw up in my car. Oh well an empty shopping bag came in handy. My God that bio diesel might be eco friendly but it sure as heck made me vomit.Guess it depends on where you live.
I see clouds coming out of cars all the time.
I see clouds coming out of people walking down the street.

Before any one asks I was stone cold sober and no alcohol in my system.
Lol, here in Australia, we are not permitted by various state laws which I might add are FUBB, to have nic juice in our possession without a prescription. There is a company in Sydney, (I think as I have never been able to ascertain their registered business address) that does sell Nic Juice by prescription and their doctor will issue you with a prescription under some legal loop hole which not being a legal beagle I fail to comprehend. The company is called Nicopharm. Ok, I tried their juice, got my copy of the prescription by email. The juice I purchased was flavorless to which I soon added my favorite concentrate.I was on an outdoor train platform not that long ago. Had my little stealth setup in my hand. Realized there was a cop not 10 feet from me. With no cloud coming out, he looked right passed me.
OK, I did hold my inhale for a little longer than usual.![]()
So what is wrong with my post that you dislike or disagree with? The worst pollutants to the air we breath are alas motor vehicles of any description.cannot like your post... but i have smelled that stuff... ughhh do not blame you in the least.
i can't give you a like for puking, sorry! getting puke stench out of a car... so not fun, speaking as a mom who had one son who was constantly car sick for years and having to keep a bag handy. So what is wrong with my post that you dislike or disagree with? My heart felt sympathy, yes, I do hear where you are coming from especially if you are using air con when this happens. I use a product called Nilodour which I buy from our local hardware shop which is excellent, I do not know if it is available in your neck of the woods. It is very economical. One just sprinkles a few drops of it on the carpet of the car and its scent gets absorbed also into the air con and magic happens the puke smell is gone in less than half an hour. Also another good product is called Auto Kolone which is an Aussie made product that also is excellent.i can't give you a like for puking, sorry! getting puke stench out of a car... so not fun, speaking as a mom who had one son who was constantly car sick for years and having to keep a bag handy.
