Where to start?

Hello,

I was wondering if some people could give me some advice as far as what I should buy to start trying electronic cigarettes. I've read through some of the various threads about which ones are best and I think they've left me with more questions than answers.

For a little background, I've been a smoker for a little over ten years, my cigarettes of choice are Camel Lights and I typically smoke a pack a day (sometimes more if I'm out drinking). I'm not ready to quit nicotine, but I am very ready to quit smoking cigarettes, between the restrictions placed on smokers indoors and the price per pack skyrocketing over the past few years.

From what I've gathered from reading through some of the threads, is that the 808 and the 510 seem to be the overwhelming favorites amongst the forum's members. I guess my question is - what are the difference between the two and what makes them so highly recommended?

My next question is in regards to the e-juice...from what I've read, the 30ml bottles typically last about a month? I see that there are various amounts of nicotine in these, what amount is comparable to a Camel Light?

My last question is about the various accessories...I've read that some of the starter kits include things that not everyone uses and the money might be better spent towards other things? What are the 'must-haves'?

Sorry for so many questions, I'd appreciate any insight that can be provided as I decide what I should include in my first order.

Thanks!

I'm a new user myself, and was in the same situation. Camel Lights, pack to a pack and a half a day.

I decided to order the 510, and couldn't be happier. It's not much longer than a real cig, and with the round tips, it's about the same circumference.

As far as must haves, I feel a PCC is great for keeping your battery charged all day, depending on how much you vape, but some peoples mileage may vary on that topic.

For Juice, I've been using MyKamel 18mg from mypvshop.com. After vaping for the same amount of time it takes to smoke a cigarette, I feel about the same afterwards. It curbs the cravings. The two hardest craving times I have though is after dinner and first thing in the morning. Those are the only times that I somewhat still feel like having a real cig, but that is getting better. I haven't had any experience yet with drinking and vaping, or post nookie, lol, but these will probably be tough times as well. But, as long as you have the will power not to pick up that camel, I think you should be fine.

This juice is pretty spot on too. If you take one of your camels and run the cig under your nose, the juice tastes JUST like the cig smells. Now, it doesn't taste just like the cigarette, but that is somewhat of a good thing, IMO. There's no burnt smokey taste.

Also, dont be afraid to experiment with different juices. I tried doublemint, and LOVED it, and I'm not even a menthol smoker. Cant stand menthol cigs to tell the truth.

You have to figure out your lifestyle... With my work and lifestyle mobility and vapor is what I was looking for... In the last month I have tried the Smokeanywhere from the mall... Sidekick from Aquavapor the DEC901 from Aquavapor the Elite from Revolvercig and the Gemini from Revolvercig... what I have found is being a heavy smoker for 27 years of about 1 1/2 packs a day I like the 901 and the Gemini the best... I normally only use those two... the battery life is better on the 901 but the PCC is a waste of money in my opinion... The carts with the lids don't fit properly and the inside gets pretty dirty with liquid.. you also have to break the 901 down into 3 parts to fit it into the PCC.... The Gimini on the other hand is very clean while you don't have covers yet for the carts they don't get as messy and the black box covers a lot of it up. The Gemini has to be broken down but only in two pieces...also you can hold a broken down Gemini and charge a spare battery at the same time... the 901 you can't hold a broken down ecig and spare battery... But for portability and vapor they are the best out there from what I have read and tested myself... I really don't think you will go wrong with the Gemini... I did a video review of it on Youtube... I can't post it here yet but if you look there for "Electronic Cigarette Revolver Gemini" you will find it to see the vapor it's great... Until they come out with something better that's the one I am taking with me all the time... 901 in the pocket for backup or a friend if I need it... the other's that don't break down don't give me as much of a throat hit as I like so again that is a matter of preference... Just remember in my case I am saving 7 dollars a day living where I do so It's worth the investment to get a few and try them out and have a party with friends over and have all your smoker friends try them... Hope this helped and best of luck

Between the 510 and the kr808d-1 from what I've read the 510 puts out more vapor. The kr8 is a lot lower maintenance and carts last longer..ie a better ecig if you use it alot away from home. At a minimum you will need a 2 batts, a charger, recommend spare atty if you go 510 and spare cartridges or cartomizers. This way initially if something fails you have a backup. Juice samples and a backup batt is always a good idea too.
