After spending far more time and reading more posts than I care to admit, I've decided to purchase a Darwin. I hope to throw myself at your mercy for cartomizer advice to save more research and to give my eyes a rest.

On my 3.7 devices I use the 1.7 resurrectors and dual coil cartos that are longer and have more capacity than the standard Boge. Everything I have is LR. Any suggestions on a larger capacity cartomizer in the 3 ohm range that will allow a Darwin to be pocket friendly? I'm afraid that I get confused trying to decide what an XL or XXL or Mega descriptions actually mean.

Thanks!

The XXL size (2.5ml capacity) dual coils that some vendors have fit nicely, they're only about a mm wider than the regular or XL ones. But those are LR, as well. If you like dual coils, you can get them in a higher resistance, Drew has them in 2 and 2.5 and there are also 3 ohm ones available elsewhere (speaking of which, I'm about due to restock on those . . . ). eGo-sized cartos will close if you use a few stacked adapters. Personally, I just remove big stuff before pocketing, but then again I don't pocket it often :p

And don't worry, your LR stuff will still work fine on the Darwin, you just effectively won't be able to go much below 8.5 watts (battery output won't go below 3.5 or 3.6 volts). So you can keep on using whatever you've got and you've got plenty of time to figure out what works best for you ;-)

I'm sure somebody else will be along with good suggestions

Thanks for the reply. I'm afraid that mine will be pocketed frequently--I'm away from home for 24-48 hours shifts.

I did purchase a Darwin today and am looking for some cartos for it. I'd like to keep my LR stuff for my 3.7 mods and get some higher resistance items for the Darwin to improve battery life.

I don't require dual coil items. In fact I use the 1.7 single coil SmokTeks by a large margin now. But, if I understand correctly, most any size carto will allow the unit to be folded closed if you add adapters. That's nice to know, as I might be out for several hours at a time. One larger capacity carto (not tank sized) and a spare in my pocket should do nicely.

I'll narrow my search down to the XL or XXL size. Thanks for your help!

I have to say that I am really liking these for the road...
510 blank CLEAR cartomizers
One adapter and you may have to back the carto off just a touch to close or just use 2 adapters stacked. Either way that's around 4 to 5 5 mls if you take 2 loaded with you and that's usually enough for me. I keep these separated and don't mix different flavors and they last a LONG time. If you start mixing liquids in them they tend to get that funky taste (for me anyway) but otherwise hold up really well for me. I like the 2.0 and 2.5 ones more with The Darwin as they give you a wider range on the watts.

With the 2.0 or 2.5 ones you should still be able to get all day out of the Darwin, depending on how much you vape. I've never brought the battery down to it's cut-off point on mine, even using 1.5 ohm duallies at about 10 watts, in a single day (that's 4-5ml of juice for me). YMMV, of course
