I'm most definitely in the second group. It keeps me busy and out of trouble. :)

Funny. I'm in group 2 as well. It does keep me busy to be sure. One exception: it gets me into trouble.

My dad, ex-navy, walked in my house one day while I was oxidizing some wick and wire...Well, from his view behind me I was just passing something over an open flame on the stove (I have gas, and don't own a torch so my stove is awesome!) and well he assumed the worst! That was the funniest 2 minutes of my life. The look on his face when I started laughing and showed him the mesh was just priceless.

I switch between the two. What I have now works great. But I have upgraded since I started only two months ago. Not going to go crazy with mods and all that. Maybe one more and I'd like an rba some day.

My goal for a PV was something that has good run time, VV and a good tank. Well, I found that in my Vamo V3 and Pro Tank 2 do that. Also found good ADV juice.

I can't spend too much on vaping, need $$ for hunting and guns. But I do love gadgets and tinkering.

But that is still camp 1. You found your optimal vape and are sticking with it. ;)

Well... I suppose I could look at it that way. Honestly. I don't. Two devices have the potential... or maybe one of them doesn't or maybe both of them don't...

The Eclipse EQ should have been the end all be all of all feeders. Occasionally, I still hear a rumor on another forum from a guy who knows a guy who is cousins with a guy who works with a guy who rents a room from a guy who has a computer in his basement where he talks to a guy on the internet who supposedly knows one of the guys who was making the Eclipse EQ and he says the project isn't dead. --- If the Eclipse EQ were ever actually resurrected and fixed, I'd buy it.... but no way on Gods' green earth I'd pre-order.

And, my much beloved and much hated VVPV. My first replacement unit worked like a charm and gave me zero trouble <period> for several months. In fact, I had my VV Woodville for a month and a half before my VVPV broke. When my VVPV returned from repair, it was plagued with the same problems others had with theirs and now it's just a disappointment and a waste of both space and money. If Buzzkill would sort out his manufacturing issues with that device, fix all of the darn charger ports, recess the on/off switch, send it out the door with black AWs in it, and re-design the pump so it isn't a perfume bottle with a tube glued to it, but rather something that will actually work and last long term, I'd be all over that too (even though I still sort of hold a grudge about the one I have).

If delivered in working + durable condition, I would buy and use either of those devices and consider them an upgrade.

Right now - an upgrade doesn't exist. Might there be one that I'd buy some day? That's hard to say. If the bizarre rumor mill is right and the eclipse eq comes back, I will buy it. If Buzzkill ever gets over his spat with ECF and decides to fix the problems and improve the VVPV, I would buy it.

I would describe myself as a "pirate vaper." I want to be as close to the power of the best, at the lowest cost possible. That means diving into cheap rebuildables, and clones that need a bit of tweaking. If inexpensive premixed juice doesn't pan out, I'll look into DiY. My motto in any pursuit would have to be get the function of best, but never pay for the best. And yes, I would download a car, thank you very much.

I was definitely in the second group when I started vaping - always looking for something better. Since I've found my ideal setup (REO Grand/RM2) and juices I love, I'm in the first camp. No desire to buy more mods (except maybe another REO), no desire to try other juices. My setup is simple, reliable, satisfying and about as hassle-free as it gets.

I now feel like a complete newbie.

Nice Red Green reference.

If it isn't broken don't fix it but I am open to trying new things if I don't have to spend much to try something I might not like. MVP with ego backups. Evod for when I'm not in too hot of conditions, top coil clearos when I am. Got an octopus to try out since it was just $5 at a vapemeet, not bad but even with that much of a wick to hold a lot of juice I don't like refilling that often. It is a bit more flavor but not as much as I expected from what people say of RDA's.

I don't yearn for something more or better but am not averse to trying other things.

ETA - I didn't approach the tinkering thing. I do tinker if it isn't working which means I have had to fix all the top coils I have owned. I'd rather something that works fine so I don't have to. Rebuilds only happen when it is shot.

At this point I'm closer to the "if it ain't broke don't fix it camp", but its still fun once in a while to try something new :) I am without a doubt, in the KISS camp now. I like simple, I don't want to fiddle. I was very content for a long time spending the same for vaping that I'd spent for smoking but that's changed and now I have no desire to spend that amount of money on vaping when I can be spending it on other stuff I enjoy doing.

Life evolved and so does ones vaping habits. :)

1. If it ain't broke don't fix it here......I'm cheap and lazy :)

but I have to have just a little dress on it... so I settled on two Itaste V3 with a Protank..... photo 1.jpg

and I love reading about the cool sweet stuff and have promised myself to one day own one of these :) o36V3.jpg

I do love reading and thinking about doing my own tinkering..... but I doubt I'll ever do it :)

If it ain't broke...

I'm fine with my ego style batteries, rebuilding my own heads and mass produced juice. I got into this to save money not to spend more than I did on the other. Sure, I cold go buy every mod on the market and have the best collection on this site, but it just wouldn't fit into my plan. :)

I've been technical and scientific since I was very small. I have 2 different setups. I'm running a SVD with 3 protank tanks that I swop during the day depending on which flavour I crave. This is the device that is welded to my hands. It is never more than an arms lenght away from me.
Then comes the Technical side. I'm messing around with DIY units, Mechanicals, RBAs, DIY Juice, etc...
Every month I buy a stack of coils for the protanks, and then at least 2 or 3 flavours for diy juice, some equipment, components for device diy, maybe an rba or 2 etc... I will always fiddle with stuff I do not know until i have mastered it.

Neither of those sound like me lol. I started out with ego for 14ish weeks because really it had kept me off smokes so I didn't do much research. Then I tried my moms vision spinner and wanted one so I bought one, tried a protank mini 2 and this is heaven for me. Even got the hubbs to make the switch. This is about health and taste for me.
