I can easily fit into both groups. FOr my wifes setup- an
rba on an Ego Twist, I leave it as is. She doesn't even like to change flavors. She will need a new cotton wick soon, but I will go back with it exactly the same as it is.
My setup receives near constant attention. About every 8 to 9 mills (two
tanks), I tend to mess with the wick, or the coil and wick, change liquid with the new wick, etc. I justify it by "keeping it clean." The gunk that builds up bothers me. So, as long as I am taking it apart and cleaning, I tend to fiddle and experiment.
Currently I am trying to get methodical in testing different sources of cotton due to some of the threads about the topic. Next, I plan on getting methodical in boiling the cotton as a comparison. I went through several permutations of
coils and Kanthal gauge. Following the cotton, there will surely be more to try.
