iv decided on what model to get so now im just trying to figure out which site to get it from. the 2 i was looking at are v2cigs.com or v4l.com (vapor4life).

v2 seems to be a bit more pricey for some reason. i was leaning more towards v4l because its a bit cheaper and they have more juice flavors.

what do u guys think and why

I haven't ordered from either of them so can't give you any real first hand advice.

Best thing I could tell you as look at the forums for the supplier review negative and supplier review positive boards. Should be able to get a feel looking at those.

And once you order be prepared to sit on your mail box. I'm waiting for some juices and cartos to arrive. Think the mail carrier is getting sick of me stalking him at the mail boxes :)

Depends what you want and I strongly recommend manuals - harder to kill, best hit, less work

lowest cost - standard gold button manufacturer model

40mah longer charge per size, rubberized, well-sealed manuals, regulated 3.6v instead of 3.7 - SmokelessImage, Bloogplanet, Halocigs G6

allows longer drags - the V4L ones that say they have 10-13 second cutoff (other KR8's have a 5 second cutoff)

pay double on parts to get warranty - V2

---
And for cartomizers I prefer the SmokelessImage/Bloog first and the V4L WOW cartos second (but these often need a plastic or delrin drip tip as a mouthpiece to keep your lips cool)

Have you checked out the Volt from Smokeless Image? It's a 'next gen' KR808D-1 and has great battery life/vapor for a cig-sized pv. I'm super happy with mine. Comes with a personal charging case (PCC) and they now have sealed automatic batteries as an option as well. Great customer service and fast shipping, too. I've also heard great things about V4L too, though!

Volt all the way. Their new sealed automatic batteries are awesome. I really don't like smokelessimage's manual batteries, personal taste - i find the button too recessed to push and hold consistently.

I would actually recommend the automatic batteries over the manual ones for this particular model e-cig.

And Volt is the cheapest of the three companies, too. I haven't tried the cartos from V4L or V2, though, so I have no comparison of the flavors. I do like most of smokelessimage's pre-filled cartos, though.

Between v4l and v2, I've never dealt with v2, have had multiple positive experiences with v4l. As Keyzy noted, v4l constantly has sales (see the PIF Deals and Steals thread, there's a PIF link in my signature).

This doesn't mean v2cigs is bad, just that I know v4l is good.

No real opinion on Smokelessimage or Bloog. I was happy with standard KR808D-1, like v4l products, have since moved to variable voltage mods. The last 808 gear I bought was a couple of vapornine nebula starter kits -- $8 for 1 808 battery, USB charger, 2 prefilled 16mg/ml cartos; handy as backup gear, giveaways. ($8 is less than a pack of cigs where I live). I used a vapornine 808 yesterday, when I found I hadn't brought my eliquid to refill my VV, was quite happy with it.

Save yourself a headache and $$.... order from v4l if you are going to limit your choice to these 2 vendors. I do have experience with v2 and i wouldn't wish them on my worst enemy. On the positive side, v4l is registered supplier with ecf and a tremendous record with vapers on ecf. While I haven't done business with them, I wouldnt hesitate to recommend to anyone interested in vaping.

cheers,

With the prices V4L has they need to always have a sale.

A KR808-D1 is a KR808-D1 is a KR808-D1. No one is better than the other IMHO. Its just branding.

There are distinct differences I listed on the first page of this thread, Only V4L has a custom 10-13 second cutoff which gives plenty of time for a big drag even with manuals where you press 1-2 seconds early to have nice vapor waiting when you start to drag (the others have 5 second cutoffs). Only the rubberized models like Volt have regulated 3.6 instead of 3.7v which adds 40mah more charge per size and they got rid of the center hole on manual battery posts (and the leak resistant autos). How are those all the same? Technically there is KR808D-1, KR808D-1 w/ the custom cutoff, and the rubberized models are not even KR808D-1 - they are KR808D-1 threaded models made by another company (not by Kanger which is what KR stands for). All are similar and good but not identical.

Also re V4L sales - V4L has tons of sales and many are huge sales like 28% or even 32% off. I only shop the sales and I get great prices and they have sales more often than I need to shop. So even if you don't buy there, sign up to get the sale notices. I own and use V4L and Volt and normal manufacturer KR808D-1 batteries (all manuals - hated the one auto I got - needed 2 drags then inhale to get the hit of 1 on manual), and I use V4L, Volt and Bloog cartos.

I do think Volt and Bloog (and Halocigs G6 may be the same cartos) have the best cartos - easier to get more vapor, more absorbent, though do use juice up faster). And my two favorite juices for cartos are V4L WOW juices (though I have also tried a lot of V4L sample pack cartos with flavors I hated with a passion)

Decent customer service can be important, things do fail. V4l is solid.

I like pass throughs, too, but in that case I would absolutely skip pt with inline battery or voltage regulator, go to a simple true pt, one that passes through the incoming 4.8 - 5v. Use it with a 2a wall wart usb power supply, or a 2a output cig lighter adapter in a car. This lets you see what higher voltage vaping is like, and it is fine with any carto that is 2.5 ohm or higher resistance. Simple, reliable, no extra electronics to break.

Of the two you're mentioned which is least expensive? I think the V4L is a good mini. You get great CS from V4L. I've tried the V4L KR808 and the Volt and honestly, I can't tell any difference between the two. I wouldn't say one is remarkably better than the other. Even the cartos appear to give about the same vape to me.

All mini's are more expensive than the ego sized pvs, so I'd go with the cheaper one because you're going to need extra batteries.

I have tried other KR808's and that's definitely not the case. I tried one and it was like trying to suck a milkshake through a coffee stir. Your eyeballs pop out trying to get a vape.
