Exactly. I don't trust results that I don't understand. And, an ejuice calculator just makes simple calculations seem more mysterious and confusing than they really are.The math is not usually very difficult for many cases. It's just a matter of taking the time to understand it.
I don't use any calculator - I work in percentages and do the the calculations on paper.
I think there's value in at knowing how to do the math but if you can do it on paper I have no issues with any method a person uses to obtain the correct answer. If you can do the math then a data entry error in the calculator should be immediately obvious because you'd have at least a ballpark figure in your head of what the correct answer *should* be.
pen and paper? What is that? I think I saw a documentary on the History channel about those things.
I use 'ejuice me up'.
I mix my Unflavored Base ahead of time. PG, VG, and Nic all pre-mixed and ready to go. This makes my calculations pretty much non-existent. It's really handy when stealth vaping. I just vape the Unflavored.
But, I would probably use one of the e-juice calculators anyway. It would be a good way to save my recipes. But, I'm a lot better at math than I am at trying to figure out how to get a program to work right on my computer. To make sure I have all the proper add-on updates and to figure out how to use the program under my specific circumstances (having unflavored pre-mix to work with).
I may eventually get off my lazy bottom and figure it all out. But, pencil and paper is just so much easier and more trustworthy.
I could really see the benefit if I ever get into more complex DIY recipes.
