i've got nothing but good things to say about them all. I've had my Tececig batt's for months now and still going as strong as the day i bought them, the V4L and SmokelessImage batts are both doing great too however i've only had both for under a month so we'll see how they stand the test of time.

I must say i've been less than impressed with the Volt batt from smokelessimage. The cutoff timer seems to be ridiculously short.

Are you using the auto or the manual? I was not impressed with Gen 2 manuals but I love the Auto's, don't normally reach the cut off on the auto.

Good luck with an answer....it's like asking who makes the best beer. I only use KR's from V4L, for me unregulated batts are the only way to vape. Longer cut-off times, better draw, and bulk of the battery in-use voltages run from 4.2v to 3.8v before needing recharging. Even more important is the warranty and customer service on the rare occasion that you may run into a problem. This is an area where V4L rises above the rest.

I find a very high percentage of issues regarding short battery life can all be traced back to the end users. Whether it is over-saturated Cartos shorting out Auto batts, over-tightening cartos onto batteries, or over-tightening batteries to rechargers. This results in pushing the connector posts out of position. Combine that with the absence of any cleaning schedule for either the batts or chargers and it comes as no surprise that some seem to always be having issues.

mainly auto's, i have one v4l shorty batt and i like it, but i seem to get better throat hits from the auto's so i generally stick to them.

excited to try the v4l stealth series batt's

Neo - sounds similar to my experiences, thanks. It seems like far too much of a time-sucker to return them. I rake them into a drawer. If I ever have another one with a bad switch, I've got a boatload of switches to replace 'em with.

Chemically these things have been cheapened to the point of garbage, without lowering the retail costs in any way.

Snow - thanks, but I think you'd have some trouble painting me with that brush. I _invented_ that brush, remember? :p

So is the upshot that everyone is ultimately buying from the same two factories and we're just stuck with it? Seems like an opportunity.

I looked at the tececig website and their auto batts are $34 each. Why are they so expensive?

Looks like a rip-off place to me.

they have lifetime warranty's when you buy them in store. to me, the price for the lifetime warranty is well worth it. granted after looking at other sites and their prices i was initially ...... at the original cost of my kit, but then i started thinking about the lifetime warranty on all their batt's and the convenience factor of being able to buy carto's, liquid, and whatever else i need in town and i honestly have no problem with prices at this point. i don't buy a whole lot from them anymore but in a pinch i avoid shipping charges, and i know that at least the 2 batts i have from them i won't ever have to buy new ones again when they fail.

they have 2 stores locally, and as of now, there's no one else in brick and mortar shops locally so it's them or interwebz only.
even aside from that the customer service their is stellar.

It's not a "lifetime warranty". It's a standard policy where you can return the product within 1 month, and it is guaranteed to be free of manufacturing defects within 1 year of purchase. More or less what you get when you buy anything in US.

Its nothing that would justify the price that is more than double of most other retailers of the same product.

meh, if you want to go by what's stated on the website only that's fine with me. i know for a fact that they will swap out batt's for you free of charge PAST one month as i myself have used that warranty. as long as you don't beat the batt with a hammer or something like that, they'll keep replacing batt's for you. Like I said, IN THE STORE.
