I've wrapped a few wick/coils for my AGA now, and I'm finally getting good, consistent results. However, it seems that most of the writeups I've seen are set up with about 2.5+ ohms. My first few coils I wrapped between 2.3 and 2.8ish ohms worked, but just OK. I started wrapping them down around 1.8 ohms, and they are working MUCH better. More vapor, better flavor, warmer vape etc. Now I know dripping attys benefit from lower ohms (I like about 1.6 with my dripper), but I'm finding I get better results with the same setups on my AGA-T.

Does anyone else prefer a lower resistance setup on their RBA tank-style device?

I scrapped all my devices that couldn't handle SLR sub 1.0 Ohms... the vape is superior imo. Both flavor and vapor.
Tilt and vape is foolproof to keep the juice at the wick.
With 28g wire hotspots are almost nonexistent ... just pulse and it cleans up... minimal mesh oxidization is easier too with 28g, and 3/4 wrap produces .9 Ohms aprox. every time.
A good mechanical or hybrid device is necessary... it will take some time (i guess 6 months) before the industry catches up with demand for good mechanicals. Where we don't have to pay an arm and a leg if we are lucky enough to snag one in the first place (f5).

Dont forget IMR batts, and personally I'd stay away from 18350's... my iHybs and the Polidiac all came with 3 tubes... not necessary imo.

My issue with the SUPER low resistance coils is that I usually just run my RBA's on my VAMO. I have no interest in mechanical mods. However, I DO have a homemade VV device I haven't used much since I got my VAMO. Perhaps I'll try a super low res coil on that one. I'll have to buy some different wire though, all I've got now is 32

And I also only use cotton, no interest in SS

^ if you don't have any interest in a mechanical then don't plan on running anything crazy (ohm wise), some are fine with that, me not so much. I only use mechs with RBAs, it's the bee's knees of vaping IMO (for me that is). I will never have any interest in going back to VV or VW, a nice quality mech with good coil is vaping bliss.

my issue with all vv/vw devices (aka non mechs) is that i can't get 19.6 watts :vapor:

but that's FOR ME, not for most people and i understand people don't want to mess with mech's or want regulated output, for me a low enough coil will allow me to get a great vape all the way from full charge on a battery to it needing to be charged
