Who's tried zero nic since totally giving up the analogs?

I'm in the process of dropping from 18mg to 12mg. It's been going well and I'm not chain vaping or anything. I thought about the futility of vaping 0 mg and why I'd need to do that. I figure at that point I should be done with the whole thing. But then I tried Custard's Last Stand from Nicoticket. Take this as a review if you will.

Has anyone else experimented similarly?

I reduced my nic to zero in about 9 months. What took the most to get used to IMO was the lack of TH. After about 9 months at zero nic I switched to 8 MG for the month of September. I vape mech mods and sub-ohm RBA/RDA's so I think this is about the same as at least 12 MG juice in regular devices.

I had to get used to the slightly peppery taste of the nic and the TH all over again. I also found I was more affected by the nic than before. After a month vaping this I went back to zero nic. I felt a slight 'yearn' for nic that lasted maybe two days. Don't know if it was more for the TH or the nic effect itself. It was extremely easy for me to leave it behind again.

I'm convinced that smoking is at least 10 times more addictive than vaping with nic. That's why it never surprises me that people find it reasonably easy to switch to zero nic juice after vaping long enough to get rid of the addiction to cigarettes.

I'm convinced of this also. I started vaping because of upcoming surgery and I figured it would help me to heal better. I vaped for a month before the surgery and when I was in the hospital my nicotine withdrawals were non-existent. I went five days and I didn't vape anything. If I had been smoking I guarantee my wife would have been wheeling me outside on the hour to get a cigarette

I did it for a day and a 1/2 I mixed up a batch of one of my favorite flavors. during the second day I found myself distracted and I had a dull head ache, I couldn't figure out why then I remembered I was vaping 0 nic

This was my experience when I quit caffeine. I didn't wean down, just went cold turkey. Doesn't really surprise me that nicotine could be the same. I got over the caffeine withdrawal in about a week if I remember correctly, but it was a long time ago. It was worth it for me just like with nic, but YMMV as always ;)

I have! I recently purchased a 30ml bottle of my favorite vape with 0 nicotine.

The purpose of this was to mix with other 30ml bottles at 18mg nic. I'm currently vaping this mix at approximately 6mg nic.

I thought I'd try vaping some of this 0 nic all by itself, just to see what would happen. It took just about 3 hours before I began to get cravings, however, the cravings I experienced were for candy, cake, pie, basically sweets. I didn't crave cigarettes at this point and went back to my usual vape before I gave in to gaining a hundred lbs.

Has anyone else experimented similarly?

For me, the way I see vaping zero nicotine vs. with nicotine is like drinking decaffeinated coffee vs regular. Must I have caffeine all the time? No, but given the choice, majority of the time I'll opt for the regular. Same with vaping, I can vape all day with zero if that's all that I have, but bottom line preference is to have a bit of nicotine added (6mg is my preference) which gives me the perfect amount of TH and overall satisfaction. ;)

When I got off the cigs, I was using 24mg as my "all day" and 30mg after meals, when I would have strong "need a cig" cravings. But after a few months, I started cutting down a little at a time. I've been nic free for, I dunno, maybe six months now?

Not having nic hasn't been much of a problem. Mostly I just miss the throat hit.

I had thought that if I got to zero nic, it would be easy to just say "I'm not going to vape anymore". I can do that, if I have to, but it sure isn't easy. So I just keep vaping with no nic. I've actually been thinking about going back to 6mg, mainly for the throat hit.

yep,,,,,,,,,and now I do 0mg nic,,,,,

however, I have gained 40 lbs,,,,,,,%&@#&!.

Now to lose it,,,,,,,,,

but I do love not being addicted to nic,,,,,,,,and I do love the lowered cost of DIY,,,,,,and I never did like the peppery taste of nic,,,,,,,,\

have no clue why it didn't bother me in cigarettes but it bothers me in e-juice.

I also miss the throat hit,,,,,,,,but I tried going back to a low nic and it KILLED my lungs,,,,,,,,,

wasn't worth it,,,,,,,,

Each time I stepped down I would ease into it. Just buying a few bottles of lower nic at a time. Im now at 6 mg down from 18 in just over a year. I will probably just stay at six cause the cravings went away for me a long time ago. I just do it cause I enjoy it. Not because I have to do it.

And I agree that lower nic does make for a tastier vape!

On moving down, a difference in 3mg is hardly noticeable. So what I would do would be to move down 3 at a time. If I was vaping 24, then when I got ready to make the switch, I would get some 18mg and mix the last of my 24mg with some 18mg in the same flavor. Mixing it 50/50 leaves it at about 21mg. I'd vape that until it was gone, then I'd switch to the 18mg. I would do 18 for a few months, then buy some 12mg and mix it so I had a week or two of vaping at 15mg before I moved to 12 full time.

Honestly, moving down was not hard, and I could probably have done it much, much faster than I did.

I'm beginning to understand why BT wants vaping stopped. We're going to break the "people smoke because they are addicted to the nicotine" myth.

People who smoke are addicted to nicotine mixed into a cocktail of unspecified chemicals.

I was working on my boat for 3 hours the other day and only took 3-4 puffs of 6mg during that time. No "nic fits" at all.

I have no question that nicotine is addictive. It undoubtedly is.

But if you can control the nic level, you can gradually move down to 0 nic, and for me at least, it wasn't hard.

But I'm still addicted to the habit, which is a separate addiction. I think I could break that one, but I just don't see the need, considering I'm no longer spending so much money, I no longer stink of cigs, and I no longer have the health worries that came with smoking.
