I always start on my PS3.... However, after the 6-12 month mark, I get the PC version for all the wicked awesome mods people come up with... and usually there is a GOTY edition out by then.

Ok, the new question is what platform is everyone going to play on.

I haven't decided between PC or Xbox 360.

Yes even without mods in the mix if you have a PC that can run it then there's really no question. While perhaps not quite as much as BF3 this title can't be expected to run well (dare I even say as intended) on console hardware especially that of the 6 year old XBox.

It sure is an awesome time to be a (PC) gamer!

That's the other reason i will wait 6 months, it'll take that long for me to save up for a better PC... and buying vape gear isn't helping the process any!

Yeah, I can hardly wait for it. I was trying to stay away from any info, but I happened upon an article the other day. Now I'm amped. I'll be getting it for the PS3 since I know my current PC won't be able to handle it.

I pre-ordered BF3 for the PS3!!! I have always played COD. I mean I had Battlefield Vietnam for the PC, but that was in 04 and my PC then wasn't good enough to handle it so i didn't play it much...

I absolutely fell in love with the battlefield trailers and the fact that it IS "supposed" to be more tactical. When I was playing COD I was in a game clan and we practiced together... but after I dropped out for time reasons, playing COD alone really sucked. But with Battlefield... oh man I can't wait. Sad thing is, I'll only have 16 days with it... then Skyrim comes and I'll be on BF3 hiatus for at least 6 weeks!

oly- No clue about the ibuypower systems, I've been building my own systems since the late 90's. Its honestly not too difficult anymore and there's enough videos on youtube to help you any place you get stuck. Typically its cheaper to go the build it yourself route, provided you don't get too carried away, and you can pick and choose where you want to spend that extra money in comparison to most of your pre-built or select-a-package set ups.

Sadly mine's getting a bit old, nearly 3 years now, time for a mobo/cpu/gpu update. Luckily my case/monitors/psu are still good to go, now its just a matter of how big do I want my primary SSD to be....

Oh and as far as the PC vs. Console goes...PC almost all the way, only games I prefer on console are driving games. Fun tidbit of reading for you guys if you're interested.

Are PC Gamers Too Good for Console Gamers?

I have no problem building them, i have built several, the problem is i haven't been keeping up with the technology/components. I don't know a good setup anymore. I almost always used Asus MB's and some gigabyte. The video would switch back and forth between Nvidia and ATI. I always preferred AMD cpu's. Know anywhere that has tested compatible configs???
