Hello guys,

So living in the States while being from Europe I get to see both sides of the vape industry and how all markets are different.

The one thing I noticed is that hardly anyone in Europe is participating in this hype of cloud chasing. Most set ups are simply based for your regular mouth to lung vapor.

So my question is, why do you believe that we are so crazy about cloud chasing? Please no replies like "Bigger and better USA" I really would like to know why this market is so crazy about this stuff. Is it that we follow the Thai style of vaping or what is it?

Please Note: Personally I see a danger with cloud chasing but I believe whatever works to keep you of cigs is the way to go. I don't care either way I just want to get some input to see if you guys know why we are so different to the European market.

It's for the same reason that we build Monster Trucks and pumpkin chuckers, have nitro tractor pulls, skip snowmobiles across lakes, make rap music and drive a block and a half away rather than walk. Other nations are more mature, have the wisdom and caution that come with age, have gone through more personal trauma and have aged gracefully into understanding the concept of "just because we can doesn't mean we should" When thinking about the US, you have to think of it as that delightfully odd ball, trust funded, bi-polar, brilliant autistic younger brother who is blowing up the garage doing something goofy like trying to figure out how to launch basketballs across town one minute and then figuring out amazing medicine for the benefit of all mankind the next. He drives you crazy one minute but you still love him. That's America.

Yes. This. In a million spades. You nailed it hard, good sir.

I was just vacationing in Cuba with a large group from the U.K. Many of them have Ego set-ups and were intrigued with my Lavatube. Even if the Lavatube is available in the U,K (but very very expensive), none of them had ever seen such a big device. Lots of them tried it, and liked the flavour and the vapour better (aerotank mega on top). I think it is just not well known there, not readily available, expensive and as well, not elegant enough :). Most of them are dual users and told me after they tried that they could quit if they own such an efficient device. Smoking is also more widely acceptable there, so for many, being able to cut down is sufficient enough and vaping never develop into a hobby. I am no cloud chaser (obviously) but for them, my set up was odd enough!

Even in America, the larger group of vapers out on the streets have never seen or heard of big body mods. The vaping world outside the bubble of this forum is almost entirely dominated by cig-a-likes and eGo's.

I have my thoughts on why people do the cloud chasing thing, but I'm not going to voice those thoughts. They do what they want as long as it doesn't become a hindrance.

Europe has nice food, long vacations and relaxed lifestyle.
America has monster trucks, monster burgers and monster clouds.

And monster heart attacks. So we invented the Artificial Heart and animal heart transplants. In America, we create, then solve many of our own problems!
