I started vaping with cartomizers (808) almost a year ago. 4 months ago I tried an atty on my GLV2.

:blink::nah: I can't figure it out? Burnt, nasty, chemical, awful, etc... are just a few words that come to mind. So I went back to my faithful carts (808's, 510's, dual coils, you name it) and they all work fine, some better than others. But I keep reading that the "Good Ole Atty" is the way to go. Really?

So I have tried again, enter the 510-T w/ Boge 510 atty. :( I love the idea of this set-up, but what the hell am I doing wrong???? I watched videos of how to get started and reviews, but to my dismay I still have the same awful, burnt, nasty, etc... taste?? Why? What am I doing wrong?

Could someone please help:confused:

Yes, 5 volts. My carts are around 3ohms. The atty is a standard, not sure of the ohms/resistance? I new not to get LR atty's. Don't remember seeing HR atty's?

Jay/Sara at GLV sent me some starter atty's with my GLV2, so I figured what they sent would work? But they didn't, for me at least.

Is it just a matter of to much voltage? I am not sure? See, I have pulled out the tank, primed the atty with like 6-8 drips at least and got about 3-5 toots before choking. The vape that I did get was weak in flavor, but massive in plumes of vapor.

Sounds like it's your juice to me. Perhaps it's bad? Are you talking about direct dripping onto an atty or using the atty/tank? I have no experience with the 510 tank, but I do own two eGo-Ts. I gave up on them and tossed them into the trash...pure junk. Great idea, but not a good application at all IMHO. I know there are wick adjustments you can make and such, but I have to ask...if you're having troubles with attys, why not just go back to a carto setup?

I tried attys and tanks as well as attys and carts, but just never found them to be what I needed in terms of vapor and TH...much less taste. Also they are far too "fiddly" for my liking.

I've also noticed that some (a lot) of the dark juices really just don't work very well outside of a very cool vape on a lower voltage setup. YMMV, but that's my (limited) experience.

No, the juice is good (AVE Gorilla Juice) however it is 100%VG? That shouldn't matter should it?

Wick adjustment? Would that help? IDK

Again, I'm assuming the concept of the 510 Tank is similar to that of the eGo-T. There are wick adjustment videos on YT. But pure VG is WAY too thick for the tanks to wick properly.

Ah Ha! OK, I have some 100% PG, also from AVE, that I can try. I'm letting this tank and atty dry out right now and will try the PG. I havent liked the PG in carts but maybe its ok in tank? IDK?

I normally use an 80/20 blend of PG/VG respectively. The VG will give you enough for some solid vapor while the PG allows for TH and taste. You may find that you like the 100% PG better though.

Stick with your 510 and try a geniune JOYE carto in white with megabatt. It might help you to know that I just tried the CE3 that many people like and I still prefer the JOYE carto. Your personal preferences might be similar to mine.

I guess I'm different! I have a GLV2 and buy cheap atty's. The atty' I'm using right now (for 2.5 weeks) is standard resistance and vapes like a champ. I switch it between the GLV2, Silver Bullet at 6 volts, and a 510 passthru at 3.7 volts. I switch back and forth between Boba's, Blend 4, and IKV RY4 and the above mentioned devices with with impunity. I don't blow em out, clean em' or otherwise do anything but drip juice in em and vape. Get some cheap atty's from a chinese vendor and vape yer head off! Oh, but do BUY GOOD HIGH QUALITY JUICE!!

i think 10% PG is the highest PG liquid that AVE sells, i could be mistaken though.
