Dekang is high PG. In my experience, Dekang is always improved by adding at least a third more VG. That will decrease throat hit and weaken any artificial taste as well as sweeten them up a bit. Once you learn how much VG is required for your liking, then buy the nic level with this weakening in mind. For right now, with what you already have, it would be better to weaken the nic strength than to go back to smokes. Also, don't vape them above 3.7 volts. In my experience, again, if you do you might get that celery or diesel fuel, nose burning, thing happen. Evidently, higher heat is required to bring that out. You can actually save yourself some money this way. For instance, I vape 12 mg and like around 35 to 50% VG so I buy 24mg Dekang and mix in an equal part of VG so that cuts my Dekang juice expense in half to be spent on the more expensive one I like.
Edit: If you step over to the DIY section and study, you will find that there are many ways to change the taste of a juice without taking any drastic steps like trying to mask a flavor by adding another. Juice is not like cooking. Very small molecular changes can create a totally different taste. That's why mixers make the bucks they do. For instance, you may not like menthol at all but adding a single drop of menthol (or mint) to a juice will boost or dimish another flavor making a completely new tasting juice with no menthol taste to it at all. Hope that helps.
