Why do I keep checking USPS tracking?

I use 17track.net - my one stop worldwide tracking shop
(link - 17track.net is the most powerful tracking system of registered postal parcel and international express)

Just whack in the tracking code (from almost anywhere) and it finds it for you.

When I know darned well the things left the 'processing area' this morning? I hate waiting on vapemail LMAO Am I alone in this strange behavior? (Going into your email, grabbing the usps number from your shipping notice email(s), and checking usps throughout the day - When you know it's not coming TOday?)

I have been doing the same thing since Tuesday even though I know it isn't supposed to be delivered till today. Just checked actually and I know it is currently at my local post office. Now if I could just get my mailman to deliver before 2pm! Seems kind of silly that I live only 4 blocks away from the post office but my street seems to be the last ones delivered to! My brother lives over 10 miles from it and gets his mail at 10am! How does that make sense? Unless he is getting yesterdays mail LOL

Turns out it wasn't stuck in Miami at all. Arrived in this morning. Seven days to get from Alabama to the Isle of Man is pretty damn good.

You're much better off standing on your porch all day. Then you'll know faster.

my usps just updated to "out for delivery" at 9:35 am...

Yeah. I just noticed I had a mid-morning update as well (arrived as local post office, can I just go pick it up? haha).

But I distinctly remember reading a notice that the tracking was only updated at night. Typical right hand, meet left hand government inconsistency issue. And I say that as a government employee. Haha.

Same here. Have one open right now that's out for delivery.

I do it partially because my mail carrier is a ..... and I want to make sure she didn't leave something on the truck (again) or deliver it to the wrong place (again).

They actually go to the furthest out fist (IT SUCKS!, its a 5 min walk to my post office), they explained that if a truck breaks down or someone needs help the other mailmen are closer to "home" and can properly help. I offered to pick up my mail and the response was I would have to have all my mail held and could only pick it up the day after it was supposed to be delivered.

It's updated "periodically" throughout the day, every 4-8 hours.

I work evenings and I have to leave my apartment at 3pm every day...conveniently enough the mail man shows up and rolls into the parking lot ever day right as Im pulling out to leave but NEVER sooner. So I have to sit at work every night knowing my package is waiting for me in my mailbox till I get home at midnight.

that worries me too...I have one of those metal outdoor mailboxes even though he doesn't deliver till late afternoon is still makes me bite my nails from time to time over it. and text the girlfriend to go out and grab the mail...but then that turns into...what did you order? how much was it? let me see the invoice....BUSTED>
