...because they last so long and vape so well.

i've owned my Grand since 1/03/2011, 818 days. I use it 24/7. Cost of ownership has been 17.6 cents per day. Cigarettes in New York State are $10 per pack. The Reo has cost me 1/3 of a cigarette per day. It vapes like the day it arrived. It has battle scars. It gets washed every three months or so. Its helped keep me off of stinkies. I know, i'm preaching to the choir. Perhaps someone on the fence about a purchase might think about the long view.

How many things do you buy that you appreciated as much,if not more, than the day you got it.

The Reos are the same as hand crafted with attention to detail, as a unique piece of high quality furniture. They will last a lifetime, even with abuse and the crafter/maker of these unique vaping products will also go out of his way to repair them, even with user abuse, and they'll sell in years to come at a good price because of their sterling quality.

Maybe its just me but I don't see something that costs less than a half months of smokes expensive. Especially when you factor in the time wasted standing in line at the hatian station to pick a carton up. I flicked them on the ground when I was done with them too. 115 (or even 145) for a REO grand (that will likely last many years) straight outta Robs shop is a bargain to me.

Additionally, vaping has simplified my life, possibly even made it safer. The stuff is dropped at my doorstep, so I'm not apt to get in a midnight altercation with the douchbag scrounging change off me in the parking lot or the intoxicated redneck running his mouth in line to buy his dorals.

It has also made me plan ahead and stock up - no more going to bed thinking "damn, gotta stop at the store first thing Sunday morning cause I got lazy and smoked myself down to the last cig". And other lame similar situations caused by cigs addiction.

No one bums vapes off me, although I am expecting a day when someone walks up and asks for a quick bump off my battery or a spare carto.

I think it would be difficult to quantify the intangible costs and inconveniences created by smoking that are saved by the purchase of a bullet proof vaporizer like a REO.

Like they say in the hood...These things are money, dog.

Ohhh yeah. Sorry about that. ;)

I actually did bum an atty to a guy a couple of months ago. It was a chance encounter of a fellow vaper at a truck stop. And, I'll guess by now, he owns a REO Grand or a Mini. He had an Old Goat and was really intrigued by the mini and the VVW I had with me... I happened to have had a couple of shorty cartos on my glove box plus a spare cisco aero and a couple of 3ml bottles of juice. I hooked him up with a shiny new aero plus a bottle of my favorite AVE 555, wrote down avids website for him and wrote down REOs Mods for him. Judging by his demeanor, I'll bet he has made a purchase by now.

That man was a truly interesting character. He was a reaaaalllly big black guy with a thunderous voice for a guy somewhere nearing 60 years old. The conversation he had that I overheard in the diner made me think he and I could easily be friends. He said, I don't get these new democrats. I don't understand anything about them. They want me to fight a bunch of wars. The billboard in the West parking lot says they need me to help them fight the drug war. They tell me that there is a war on women going on, so it sort of sounds like CNN is trying to enlist me. NBC and ABC tell me we have a class war to fight. Farrakhan tells me I have to fight a race war. Then all of them folks say they want to take away my gun. Makes no sense. --- Bring me back real Democrats like Kennedy and LBJ. When those guys had me go fight a war for them, at least they gave me a brand new gun and some good boots." His final statement was "These idiots today want me to do it unarmed and with no support."

So, when he offered to pay for the atty, I thanked him for his service and thanked him for the words I overheard inside the diner - and wished him luck and safe travels. I hope I run across that fellow again someday.

Everything costs as much as someone will pay, way of the world!

Bingo! Sorry to partially disagree with the "because they rock" point, though they are related.

I'd imagine Rob balances the whole "how many can I make" vs "how many will sell at this price". Now, the "how many will sell" is definitely related to how well they're made and how good of a mod it is (which is awesome as far as I'm concerned). If Boge Revolution was priced same as the Reo, they would sell exactly none of them, the flimsy alien flashing PoS that it is.

Am I happy about the price? Of course not! I'd much rather they were $10 a pop and were always in stock. I'd have 20 of them by now, and a few for the wife. But, the price being what it is, I'm not overly complainy, and now I own two :) Which means, the price is right.

What I do wish is that Rob would be able to expand production to sell more of them faster, which would mean lower price. But, like I said before, I'm not overly whiny about it.

It's not just grands that "cost so much "
All reo's do, but when you consider what you get for your money, they're dirt cheap
They're bombproof, with a kick like a horse, solid enough to use as a weapon if you wanted too,
So in my opinion, nobody can say they're expensive, THEY'RE GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY:toast:

i can think of a few things that cost a lot more and some atomisers that come close to the price of a new Grand!

The TerroX mod.

But would you take it everywhere you go and not worry about dropping it on the floor in case it breaks? or being stolen? Let's be realistic about cost here: i spent $400 a month on cigarettes for my wife and i. Sure you can have an Evic - sure you can have all the tanks you like. But i am brutal with my stuff and i am used to it breaking due to my lifestyle and rough handling and lack of care. But only my Grand and Silver bullet have ever lasted the course, so they are cheap.
