1. I already have a laboratory so using it for this was easy
2. I don't like most e-liquids that I can buy so I prefer my own
3. I prefer my own nicotine concentrations (20mg and 10mg respectively)
4. I can get what I want dramatically faster
5. It is substantially less expensive
For me it's all about the alchemy. I always did want to be a mad scientist and now I can be. One day I may even figure out the recipe for vaping gold. It's the quest for that perfect vape. And we all know that today's perfect vape more than likely won't be tomorrow's.
I DIY because at 6ml a day I would go broke in a hurry buying over-priced high mark up pre-mixed bathtub juice. I would rather spend the money on mods. When I first started, I got stuck with a bad batch of nasty juice from TW as well, and that was what really started me on DIY. Its nice to know what goes into a juice, and not depend on someone else.
Consistently getting exactly what I want, and an offshoot is bring able to whip up stuff for friends to try. My all-day vape takes me just a couple minutes, including cleanup, to make 60 ml.
Fortunately, if tomorrow I could no longer diy, I also know some quality smaller vendors whose product I trust absolutely
I like knowing what goes into my juice.
I am stockpiling for the apocolypse.
I don't care about the cost factor...........but it is substantially less expensive than purchasing juice (plus they use these flavors too) & buy saving money on juice, I can buy more mods.
-For sure the number one reason for me was money, so so so much cheaper to make your own.
-Don't have to stalk the mailman for liquid to arrive.
-It's just fun, I love creating my own flavors and documenting everything, making some tweaks til you get that perfect juice. I get a little obsessive about it....
