    I had no choice, the slow execution through smoking was becoming a more acute condition by the day. So I needed to find a NRT that would work or die. All of the traditional NRT's had side effects that I couldn't tolerate, the prescription drugs were a disaster for me, and I already knew the effects of no nicotine in my system. (not a pretty picture) So vaping was the last house on the block.

    So, to answer your question, I vape so that I can exist.
    Now at the age of 73, I just might get to hang around for another decade or two.

    I started so I could get my nic fix while waiting in the checkout line in Walmart.

    KIDDING!

    I just wanted to "cut back" on my 33 year smoking habit. It stuck. I haven't had a cigarette in 1.5 years and I love vaping. Every aspect of it appeals to me. I doubt I've saved a dime but I've had a lot of fun and have been able to help a few folks switch over along the way....including my wife. So, yeah....pretty grateful.

    I started vaping for a few reasons. Turned 40 and the doctor said i had to quit smoking and caffine. It was taking a toll on my heart. Qiut the caffine with no problem but the smoking was a different story. Also most of what i read here on ecf said it was cheaper. LIES!!!!!!....

    I tried the blu ecigs but the had little taste and no throat hit. Smoked more normals. Got a vuse kit when they came out here in california. Better then the blu but still lacking and not cheaper than smoking. Stopped at a smoke shop one day after work and ended up walking out with a vv kamry x6 for myself and a cheap evod blister pack for the wife and a couple juices. That was july 11th of this year. 5 weeks ago today. The last day of cheap nocotine habbit.

    Here we are 5 weeks later. Between the wife and i we have ended up with 4 ego twists n such, 1 joyetech evic supreme (i LOVE this thing). 1 innokin SVD (hers). A few aerotanks and protank 3 minis. gone through about 15-20 bottles of misc juice. Rebuilt a buncha aerotank coils. Wife got a ton of diy stuff to make her own juice this week and today i got my first kayfun lite +. It has not been cheaper at all lol.

    But on the bright side we dont stink near as much and the kids 5 and 9 years old know we are not gonna die next year.

    I switched from cigarettes. The biggest reason I switched is because I have a potentially lethal bloodclotting disorder that smoking increases risks in, and when I did my research, nicotine itself doesn't seem to exacerbate it, it's the other chemicals in cigarettes that do. I started getting anxiety and panic attacks during and after smoking due to how risky it is for me. Because vaping is safer for me, I don't panic when I do it and I don't have the constant fear of another pulmonary embolism in the back of my mind.

    I also couldn't afford cigarettes anymore, and for me, vaping costs a fraction of what smoking cost. I'd love to be able to get deeper in the hobby and invest more money in it but that's not an option right now. My focus is to get an inexpensive setup that meets my needs, and to find an inexpensive, high-quality liquid, which I found at itcvapes.com

    i knew there had to be a way for me to stop smoking because it was literally killing me. i put the cigs down when i picked up the vape . i diy juice, collect mods and atties and read the ECF whenever i get a chance.

    its been at least a decade since i felt this good. tomorrow it will be my one year anniversary . vaping and helping others quit smoking gives me something constructive to do. <*}}}>{

    Cigarettes were just getting me down, I didn't like the way they tasted any more, I couldn't settle on a brand I liked the last couple of years I smoked, it was getting freaking expensive, I had sinus infections at least twice a year, I felt like garbage. But I had no desire to quit, and knew I couldn't even if I wanted to. Vaping filled that hole, I'm nearly off of nicotine and so many aspects of my life have unexpectedly improved.

    I switched because I loved smoking, but I hated smoking. I liked how it made me feel, but then I didn't like how it made me feel. I never smoked inside or in my car - and the Houston heat became unbearable early in the summer (smoking in Reno wasn't so bad - the heat wasn't so oppressive because of the lack of humidity). Plus it just made me feel bad anyways.

    Also, my BF hated seeing me smoke, even though I smoked when I met him. I guess I was worth working on?

    I continue to vape instead of go back to analogs because of the difference I feel in my health...my lungs, my mood, my energy, my sleep, etc. I also MUCH prefer the taste of a good juice over any ciggy. Plus I know I smell better now. LOL

    I was tired of paying tobacco companies to slowly kill me, too.

    Here is my little reason for dropping analogs almost two years ago.
