Living in New York, cartons of cigs are up to about 80 dollars, so in that sense, I've saved thousands of dollars. I have probably spent 400 dollars in 2 years on hardware and about 20 a month so I LONG ago showed the money savings. For me it WAS about the health though. I have a son with a heart condition so I had to make a change. I wouldn't change back now for ANYTHING. I have been able to maintain supplies etc while deployed to Afghanistan and converted dozens over to ecigs. I wouldn't have it any other way anymore. My youngest was at a doctors appt and the doc asked if anyone in the house smoked. My wife said no :p and my daughter said YES...my wife explained the ecigs. LOL.

After wasting $450 on bad kits and bad juices, the next $150 got me stocked up on hardware, another $100 on daily vape juice, $700 total! I used to spend that much on analogs whole year. The budget is $200 a year on juice, $100 on replacement hardware. I'm all set. I began vaping to save my lungs & my wallet.

The first time I went to buy a carton of cigerettes and it was $50, I starting trying to quit. I tried cold-turkey, perscriptions, you name it. The meds made me sick and I had no will power for quiting on my own. I found awesomevapor when searching for something to help me and I never looked back. It was all about the cost. Now, I wish I could afford all the fun toys and sometimes I splurge, but I never spend more than half of what I used to spend smoking. I'm willing to spend up to $600/year, which is about half of what I used to spend buying 2+ cartons per month. At this point, I haven't actually spent the $600.

Wife and I started vaping four months ago. In that time I've spend about $1,300 on various supplies, mods, juices etc for the two of us.

Sounds like a lot, doesn't it?

But, if we'd have been smoking tobacco cigs I'd have spent about $5,500 on them. Also, the $1,300 of supplies will last for at least another 6 months if I never spent another penny.

My calculations are that on an on-going basis we'll spend somewhere around $4-5 per day on average on juice and replacing atties and the occasional battery compared with $45.00 on cigarettes.

So yes, we're saving money... Lots of money! :)

(And feel much better too!)

I got my first kit June 1st and haven't bought a pack of cigs since; I would have spent about $370 on smokes and I've spent around $250 on supplies and settled into a hardware and liquid vendor for maybe $30 bucks a month, so I'm already way ahead of the game. Haunting ECF before I bought anything saved me a ton of scratch, and in December I get all my vaping-related expenses back from my company up to $600, so I'm spending it all on liquid and batteries before my 6 months is up!

I'm about 3 and a half months in now and I'm not even close to breaking even. I just seem to be diggin that hole deeper and deeper lol.

I would be close if I didn't have an addiction to trying new juices and vendors all of the time. I used to spend around 100 a month of cigs and I've been dropping twice that these first few months. I haven't bought anything in about 2 weeks now, hopefully I can keep that streak going for awhile longer.

That said I'm stocked to the teeth with vaping gear... a 14650 e-power, an eGo, a 3.7v box mod, a 5v box mod, spare batteries, chargers, and atomizers, a crap load of cartos, and roughly 400ml of juice. That all should be enough to last me well into next year, with just a few small re-up purchases of my favorite juices.

The way i see vaping..the investment is always the most priciest because is a new toy..new juices..new equipment..for me..i see vaping as more of a hobby than a remedy to smoking..(what can I compare it to..ummm..wine tasting maybe..)..but all in all..I love vaping..it's fun..but can get expensive..depends if u become a mod hoarder..lol..

I would estimate I have spent about 10 times the money on vaping compared to smoking. That's mainly because cigarettes are very, very cheap here in China.

That's true. When I went there on vacation a few years back. It was like 1.50 for a pack which I thought was insane because I was spending about 6 bucks a pack at the time.
