Why Does This Happen

and how can I stop it happening again.

Changed the cart on my penstyle and the fibre seemed to be stuck into the atomiser. It seems to be quite flimsy stuff.

Are there better carts on the market for the penstyles that don't slither out of their holders?

Good question - I have one that does that. Does yours fibre get stuck on the atomizer when it is almost dry? Mine does. It is annoying when I am driving and this happens I can't drip and drive, nor can I change refill the cartridge. I have to wait for a red light.

I watched a review or a follow up review video and it said to never let the atomiser part get more than luke warm or the cart likes to firmly weld itself to the atomiser!

I'm no expert tho, only had my generic penstyle 2 days!!

Same as Tribal. I wonder if there are better quality cartridges that don't do that?

i use the ruyan carts - never had that problem ..that really seems to suck

happens all the time to me. Only thing to do: pick it out with tweezers, jam it back into the cart housing, and toss into the box of old carts destined to become melange.

Some of the forum members wash cart wool and resoak it from bottled liquid, or make their own cart filling (I've heard fish tank foam and sea sponge) but that's a step too far for me (at least until I start home brewing)

some of the carts come with the wool glued in to stop this happening.. good in one way but a pain in the ares when i try and syringe a bunch.. cheap e-cig.com carts are glued in..

Janty wool is glued down. I have this happen with my 901s all the time, but not usually with penstyles. Like Emp, I just figure that it's time to toss the cartridge if it does happen.
