Why don't we start whining more loudly?

There are some small minorities that can engage in unsafe activities, yet have lots of power and a loud voice. What if we started playing victims, and said smoking was a "disease" and therefore we shouldn't be accountable for our choices, and hence we shouldn't be discriminated against. You can't discriminate against anyone else, even if you don't like the activities they engage in. should we get a bit louder?

I don't think that being disingenuous is going to help us here. I think that since logic and reason happens to be on our side, to stray from it will only make us look like a bunch of wackjobs and solidify the position of our enemies. We need to educate people. We need to call out the people who promote "Quit or die" publicly and relentlessly. We all need to be writing letters and making phone calls. Not playing games.
