I discovered that joyetech have a new product coming up, called eCab.

It's a bit smaller than a normal eGo PV and cheeper - the price is between 65$-52$.

It uses normal batteries, only 360mAh though - will it last a full day?..

Just read about it here.

Lets talk about this!

What are your thoughts?

Ovale Usa also seems to sell it
Found a video reveiw from Ovale,

I don't understand why they are the only one who sells it.
And I can't order one, for some reason they don't ship to Sweden...

Hi & Welcome to ECF! Prevailing wisdom has it that each 100 mAh = about 1 hour's use for the "average vaper", so to my way of thinking you'd just need several charged batteries & filled tanks to get through the day. (Don't have time to check out the video just now - the tanks might be quick to fill on the fly but I don't know. The batteries should swap out in seconds.) I presume this thing has 510 threading, in which case you could use just about any standard resistance atomizer, cartomizer, tank or whatever on it if you didn't care for the existing 3-piece design, but its "cuteness factor" would suffer a bit. Personally other than the 3-piece approach they're using I like its looks for a small-battery design.

Cheers :toast:

All your pic links link to the same pictures.

Looks like it'll be 2.5-3 hours of vape, 2 hours of charge. 10440 batteries are tiny, the size of a AAA alkaline.
Nice form factor though and good on Joyetech for doing something without a sealed battery.

I hope it'll take a cartomizer with no problem, but the mah will be a definite bar to low resistance.
I hope you'll excuse my cynicism when I say that it looks like the same eGo-C turd in a nicer package.
The good part is, when it leaks, there won't be so much juice to get all over everything.
I've yet to try or hear of a really good performing tank system. Not by Joye, not by Ovale, not by anyone.
These battery companies seem to be desperately clinging to the atomizer/cartridge concept and calling them "tank systems" but it still doesn't make them perform any better. Maybe a smaller one will actually work. We'll see. But it's priced pretty close to the iTaste. It might be worth a test if it was $40, but it isn't.

Checked out the video. I believe the guy suggested if you cared to do so you could use an eGo-type LR atty. Either I misunderstood him or he should probably know better. Or just possibly, what the eGo calls "LR" ain't no such thing. Anyway an actual low resistance atomizer, carto or whatever shouldn't be run on a battery below around 450 mAh, just to be on the safe side.

I agree with Sailorman regarding the price; however I expect it will come down, or somebody will be stuck holding a mess of 'em.

Happy Vaping! :vapor:

Ok here is what I do know about the ecab. A couple of you are sort of wrong, the ecab is proprietary with its threading, meaning only ecab equipment will fit on it. Joyetech does make an adapter that will allow for 510 atomizers to fit, however the circuit on the ecab is a 3.3 volt constant output which means pretty crappy performance on a standard resistance atomizer, but on the flip side, the battery is only 360mah which means its not safe to use low resistance on. My own dilemma comes from this issue, I would love to order one as it seems to be a superior tank system to what's out there already however what the hell kind of atomizers do I order for my back up replacements? It uses the ego c type A atomizer heads which are available in both lr and sr, but what one do I get? I don't want to get the lr and have It destroy the battery and circuit and I dont want to get the Sr and have it be poor performance. I hope that this helps a little and if any of you can help me with my own question I would appreciate that. Also if you're haveing trouble getting someone that will ship it to you're area check out heavensgifts, prices are good and I'm pretty sure they'll ship it anywhere.

The performance of the ecab is good I think. I've had it over a week and it makes great vapor. Just don't change the tank until its nearly empty because I find if I swap the tank or pull it out to top it off it ends up leaking ejuice into the cone. Also, carrying it in a pocket at work I was able to get it to leak. I use it at home now and take a cartomizer with me instead.

I bought one a couple of weeks ago and I have been fairly impressed with it. I was so impressed with it after I bought it that I ordered a black version as well. I have yet to open the black version. The tanks do leak, but the starter kit comes with 2 overflow prevention caps, which solves the leaking problem. However, I could not find any retailer that sells the overflow prevention caps. Therefore, while it is a really slick little tube that performs decently, the leaking keeps me from using it as an on-the-go device, which it is perfectly sized to be.

Nice to see they seem to have improved the tank caps. And, they do look nice. I like the idea of the separate batteries. However, the tank systems always end up leaking after a few uses of the tank. So, having to keep a supply of new tanks on hand, which are not all that cheap. Also, I had really bad luck with Joyetech atty's for the ego C, and they are not cheap to replace either. I had 3 quit working within the first week! I quickly gave up on that type of tank/atty system. Though, the vape from them is really good, when it works.

I loved my eGo Tank system... when I first got it... for a day... maybe almost a week? And then it started leaking.... Not sure what the "overflow prevention cap" is but I know the rubber tank caps did not help... At all...

I loved the "Idea" of it. But until I hear of a "tank system" that does not leak - and is backed up by several reviews - I won't be buying them.

everything it simple with eCab I guess: show me a place in North America where I can buy an eCab-510 adapter to use all 510 goodies available - any further discussion of eCab makes no sense without such adapter. Compact tube mod with replaceable 10440 batteries - that was a brilliant idea, but Joyetech simply shot itself in the leg with that junk stock tank system and proprietary connection!

The silicone caps fit tightly into the atty tube to try to prevent juice from leaking through it, but there's a flattened part of the atty end of the mouthpiece which allows you to inhale the vapor, so I'm not sure how well that works out.

I bought one a couple of weeks ago and I have been fairly impressed with it. I was so impressed with it after I bought it that I ordered a black version as well. I have yet to open the black version. Sun Vapers - Joyetech eCab and eGo-c premium electronic cigarettes re-seller.. sells the silicone toppers in packs of 10 for a few dollars.

I may have solved the leaking problem. I took mine to work today and did not have any leakage this time. All I did was put it in my pocket with the mouth piece facing down so extra juice could not drip into the atty. Works like a charm. YMMV. But some of the leaking problem is actually condensation that builds up inside the atty tube next to the atty.

The joyetech website shows a product that is an adapter for using the ecab battery with a 510 style attachment but nobody has them in stock just yet. Believe I saw a post here on ECF somewhere about the same fact.

I had the ego-t system and hated the tanks had all sorts of problems with them, and from what I am reading in this thread from the couple of people who have it, the tank system isn't any better. Add to that the 3.3 vers 3.7 and then the extra small battery size, sounds like for anyone other than a very light vaper it wouldn't be a very good system.
