Very beautiful pics, inspires me to get my place done, My husband an I picked up a solid little house on 2 channel lots that NEEDS some love. But our payments are low an our note is short, so our house would be paid off in our mid 30's. Thanks for the inspiration (now I just gotta find something sharp to poke the hubby with to get him moving).

Nice job stover!

We bought a fixer upper - which is difficult to work on while living in it with 2 pre-schoolers. The living room is done- I've replaced the windows (except the basement ones, they're next) - the roof, the boiler (hot water radiator heat), the kitchen door - the inside isn't painted yet but the outside is cobalt blue. The front door is waiting patiently for me and my sander - wrought iron out front is done but the back is half done.....the breakfast room wallpaper is down but the walls haven't been skimmed yet, and there are more rooms with wallpaper - the list goes on and on.....

I have the stainless appliances - in a kitchen that was make-shift updated in the 60s.....it's going to be a big job!

I am completely jealous of you ladies. I do not have one creative bone in my body when it comes to home improvement. I can cook well, but it all has to be set up for me.

IOW, I'll cook for ya Stover, if ya let me use that gorgeous kitchen!

You got a deal kryssi :D I don't like to cook...................

We bought a VA repo 20 years ago and it ate our lunch! That's the one we sold when we bought our land we now have. So I feel your pain but it's all totally worth! Keep up the good work! :)

WOW!! Lookin' GOOD Stover!! :w00t:

We just moved into the smaller of the two homes we have in Toronto and this one's gonna need some work, but I've always LOVED it! It's relatively 'famous' in the Beaches~~everyone knows the 'little English Cottage'. It's less than half the size of the other one, but it has CHARACTER, y'know?

Gotta get me some pictures up too, but not here, won't steal your thunder Stover!! :)

Oh come on Dom steal away!! I want to see your little English Cottage! I call our house "Little House on the Praire". I've spent the past 5 days working on the house. I am walking away with only minor injuries and only a few drops of blood. I got the tile installed in the small bathroom and just have to grout it. The walls are ready for paint and wallpaper. The shower floor is in and Quinn onlybroke 1 of the new tiles so far! Oh he broke about 10 trying to make the cut for the toilet! But hey, it's our first time to lay ceramic tile. Anyway, back to work tomorrow because I need the rest!

OK I'm with fudge on the tiling! I grouted tonight and it's hard work. DIY channel doesn't make it sound that hard. I hope I can get out of bed tomorrow. The master bath will be hired out whether my hubby agrees or not!

Did I mention I hate grouting!! I'm sore today but did manage to get out of bed andmake it to work. I have a pounding headache and think I really take some sick leave time this afternoon ;)

Bathroom is done but we had an " incident" with our new high efficent toilet. We had company and the daughter flushed "feminine products"! We have a septic tank so we had our whole system PLUGGED UP!! My hubby was snaking and plunging for hours to clear the lines...........So we are a day behind schedule but the caulking should be dry on the shower today and we will be able to use it.

When this is all over I'm never paint, tile, grout, sheetrock, or anything again! It will all be hired out!
