Why is it so hard to find info on SS builds?

I have been searching the Internet for days, looking for advice on stainless coil builds, what temp to run at, etc.

There is virtually nothing out there... And it's frustrating.

I built two basic spaced coil builds on both my velocity and royal hunter RDAs, they work flawless at 40w and 480 F.

So, I decide to put the same build in my Griffin RTA. I can't get it to work, at all. Locked in the resistance, tried lowering the wattage, raising the temp... I get nothing. My mod instantly goes to temp control the second I push the fire button. I don't know what I'm doing wrong here.

Tried 3 separate builds. First one was titanium @ 0.32 ohms, then two stainless builds, 0.4 and 0.56 ohms... nothing is working.

So now, I'm wondering if it is safe to vape stainless in regular wattage mode, which I'm quite sure it is... But I can't find anything anywhere confirming that.

I won't go back to Kanthal. The clean taste of SS has converted me, I just want it to work in my tank and be safe.

Nevermind... I just saw what the problem was.

I had to fire the coil in temp control mode once, very quickly, to get the mod to recognize it was a new coil. Otherwise, it would always revert to the 0.34 ohm build on my RDA even if I locked the resistance in. Strange... But it's all working great now

SS works great in VW mode ...................

Not my opinion but information I've read from folks that really appreciate TL mods.

It greatly reduces the chances of heating you juice or pushing you cotton past the burning point if it's set up correctly. There have been tests that show that extreme heat and burning or dry cotton hits can create chemicals similar to cigarettes. In it's purest sense TL should minimize the opportunity for that to occur.

Personally I use SS and Kanthal in VW and very really (almost never) get a dry or burnt hit.

Temp control helps new vapers eliminate dry hits.

Why do you say TC is healthier?

You can set your temperature so that you won't burn your wick, which would release carcinogens.

Also, you will notice that most liquids won't caramelize/char from overheating. This can also release carcinogens and other toxins in the liquid.

Stainless steel wire in TC mode, when set correctly, also stays looking brand new. My coils have yet to tarnish/oxidize or get gunked up at all after vaping heavily on them for the past few days.

All the builds in my tanks and attys show zero signs of burning/gunk or anything. The more risk I can eliminate from vaping (which is already a far better alternative to smoking), the healthier and less damaging it is to myself in the long run.

I'm a huge proponent of temp control and SS. So Much so, that I don't know what I'm gonna do with all my spools of Kanthal and titanium.
