Why is WTA such a controversial subject?

Natural tobacco being extracted, so we're looking at a natural tobacco extraction... NTE, but this world doesn't need another acronym, so I'll whip the first person I hear using it! lol.

The wording "naturally extracted" is merely meant to distinguish it from the existence of liquids that are "synthetically concocted." It may be stretch to call the extraction "natural," but the important part is that it is natural flavor from ET, or extracted tobacco (TE already exists and is a type of absolute that is sold by Perfumer's Apprentice). Even if there is nothing "naturally" extracted about it, it's meant to contrast the artificial counterpart--it's akin to calling cigarettes analogs and PVs e-cigarettes (which also doesn't make any sense).

I get it, but the term "tobacco" is used in every other liquid and people wonder why their liquid tastes like corn chips--that ain't tobacco nor does it have anything to do with it, but the term "tobacco" (among a host of other artificial flavors bearing the name of their natural stunt double) is used to define some lab generated flavor based off of who knows what. I hate buying "tobacco" and tasting Fritos. (Actually, I kinda like those vapes now. haha. But it ain't tobacco)

Smoke juice (no smoke is produced.) E-Liquid (electronic liquid?) We do have a sub-forum called E-Smoking (electronic smoking sounds very hazardous.) Mod (most people don't modify their PVs.) Analog (as opposed to what? Digital vapor?) E-Cigarette (it's not an electronic cigarette, it's a battery in a metal tube with an atomizing device that produces vapor.)

As an aside, most NET vendors will tell you that their 0 mg nic (if they will even sell it as such) is more like 2 mg. That is because (as Dvap referenced) in their extraction, some nic tags along. That is not "targeted," or "isolated," but I can imagine that if nic, an alkaloid, comes along for the ride, that maybe some minor alkaloids do too. Of course, 5% of 2 mg is what, like 0.1 mg? I guess that would literally be next to nothing (and I would never call that minute amount of possible alkaloids by the acronym for which this thread is based).

Does anybody know if the alkaloid concentration increases as you get to the bottom of a tank? I am about 3/4 of the way through a smallish(1.8ml) tank. I took a few puffs right as I was getting ready for sleep and had a couple of pretty intense moments as I dozed. Intense enough that I actually sat up in bed and quietly said "What in the hell was that?"

At most, I have had the cigarette in the morning type feel from this juice. However, I can't really figure out anything else it could have been. I would imagine that each vape would have a similar amount of alkaloids, percentage wise, as is present in the juice. Does this hold up to logic? Or is possible that some get left behind until the end. I don't know. It wasn't exactly unpleasant, just different.

Aroma states that it's best to shake a bottle to make sure it's distributed evenly. Not sure I can back that up, but that's what he says. Had your tank been sitting for awhile? What juice was it?

Now I really enjoy WholeCig's unflavored WTA.
I can see where this is going, one day soon WholeCig's website will only be taking orders for 10 minutes or so starting at 8:00AM PST before they are sold out for the day and the web store is closed. Sound familiar?

I hear you, or rather, I see your point. I do find it funny that when crafting a phrase, which may get repeated so many times that it'll inevitably be shortened to an acronym, it seems that certain acronyms/phrases just sound better than others (so much so that the phrase may need to be re-thought, just for the acronym's sake). I have a thread called Regular Atty Drippers (A Dying Breed?) and I had the mods change it from what I originally entitled it, Standard Atty Drippers (A Dying Breed?), because I figured, I wouldn't want anyone referring to us that vape that way (if the phrase caught on) as SAD (standard atty drippers). LOL

Speaking of vaping, I sure would love to ask you, Dvap, some questions--what type of device/atomizer do you use, and especially, what flavors do you gravitate toward? Do you still vape? A friend asked me the other night if I knew what you vaped and the funny thing is, I sometimes forget that at the end of the day, you were/are a vaper like the rest of us, not just Mr. Wizard (haha). Yes, you definitely have provided a wealth (for real) of scientific information/discovery on this forum (I read it all the time), but sometimes the simple stuff, from a person like you, can be fascinating (and it can be normalizing for those people that are too intimidated to even talk to you).

If you get a second to answer, that would be cool, if not, that's cool too.

Also, if I'm not mistaken, doesn't Longhorn or Timberwolf (I can't recall which is a swedish match product) fulfill the same requirements if snus is not available?

Swedish Match brands in the U.S. are Longhorn, Timber Wolf, Red Man and General (never heard of that last one and I dip)

Sometimes WTA liquids can be funny like that: sometimes, even in the same session, some hits will blow me away; sometimes it seems rather unimpressive (from all three vendors). Sometimes it can be more intense than a cig, sometimes about the same, sometimes not even close.

I actually find my system responds to certain substances differently depending on, I dunno, the stars (?). Most of the time I can drink coffee all day, and other times one cup (and I always measure it out the same) can make me feel like I popped a couple NoDoz. Actually, I have similar experiences with vaping. I can vape 32 mg often with no problem, and other times 12 mg will make me feel all stimed out (and it's not incorrect nic to blame as sometimes the same 12 mg juice does nada for me and the same 32 mg juice is a one-hitter-quitter).

As of late, in regards to WTA, I have developed (I beleive) a reverse tolerance. Because my normal consumption of daytime vaping was brought to a halt, now when I take a couple drags off WTA, I feel like vaping it for more than that would not only be pointless, it would be unpleasant. Unfortuantely, that has never happened for me with alcohol--it still goes down like water. :D

Above post. So very true! Hilarious too. Somebody asked on here what's the best way to test the WTA against straight nic or compared to each supplier and my head went to what you posted. But...noted is the long absense of use before having some. That would be a good way to test. Abstain as long as possible and use same atty and battery set up, definitely vape no nflavored DIY and take X amount of hits French smoking style up over top lip into nose. Say 8 hits? And evaluate within two minutes.
Try abstaining from all that "watered down" alcohol for a year and have just two drinks. Dare ya!

One is not enough and two is too many. I heard that somewhere??? Wherever it was I heard it, I definitely developed a reverse tolerance for that. LOL

How about " if you can't say no to just one, you're an alcoholic". Oh come ON! That one is a bit too much
I'm looking forward to Aromas new plan to have DIY available on a more consistent basis. I will test the Wholecig DIY against the Aroma DIY for flavor throat hit and effectiveness in the abovestated style. I'm thinking they. Will be very close because it seems that way to me from memory

Or, "if you say you're not an alcoholic, you are in denial." I guess everyone is an alcoholic, even people that have never had a drink?

Yeah, honestly, I would love to have WholeCig's, Aroma's, and hell, Vapelicious' unflavored WTA--obviously, that last one is an e-pipe dream  (but it was really good...really good). Having the unflavored base frees up so many options for the vaper. Plus, like I've said before, if you buy WTA liquid with flavoring, and you hate the flavor (meaning unvapeable), you will end up throwing the baby out with the bath water. Don't throw the baby out with the bath water. LOL. At least with the unflavored as an option, there will be one juice that will have what you pay extra money for and it won't have that issue with the subjectivity of flavors (you can always add your own flavor that you know you like).

I think it's interesting that WTA gives you pause in regards to possible PAHs when the flavor, the inevitable coil buildup while vaping NETs is the result of a mishmosh of organic material being exposed to heat. The WTA juices I vape vaporize among the cleanest I've ever tried.

You're right, and that's good to know about the WTAs you tried burning clean. the NETs do have more buildup.

i used to smoke like everyone here, but i used to tell people about my triple carbon RO water purifier under the sink and people would say...but you smoke! True. i'm funny that way. i also scrape the black parts off my bbq meat and smoked B&H ultralight menthols, the litest cigs ever haha

Mr. Mann requested that i not name him a pioneer in this field. ok, i take that back, but you are a tobacco guru :)
