zombie invasion?
it began as tongue in cheek,,,,,,,now it's for preparedness for everything,,,,,,

Wonder why Zombies, Zombie Apocalypse, and Zombie Preparedness continue to live or walk dead on a CDC web site? As it turns out what first began as a tongue in cheek campaign to engage new audiences with preparedness messages has proven to be a very effective platform. We continue to reach and engage a wide variety of audiences on all hazards preparedness via Zombie Preparedness; and as our own director, Dr. Ali Khan, notes, "If you are generally well equipped to deal with a zombie apocalypse you will be prepared for a hurricane, pandemic, earthquake, or terrorist attack." So please log on, get a kit, make a plan, and be prepared!

Oh, and just as food for thought when trusting CDC over google or yahoo: understanding what you read is your (generic term, not you personally) responsibility. Research the source, look up the stuff you don't understand and, never forget that the CDC also has a preparedness plan for a Zombie invasion. Look it up!

LOL Wow that is Funny :) Wait is there something I should know?

yeah,,,,,,,,they're trying to be entertaining,,,,,,

Looking for an entertaining way to introduce emergency preparedness? Check out our graphic novella which uses the idea of a zombie apocalypse to demonstrate the importance of preparedness. Included is a personal preparedness checklist so you can take action once you're done reading.

Isnt nic pretty much harmless? I considered lowering it until I read up on the long term effect of nicotine, which are pretty much as harmless as caffeine. Could someone have some type or rare negative reaction to nic?

Not that I'm aware of... I have read alot of speculation but it's just that, No real studies have been done in depth on it, They know it's addictive and as of now no known carcinogens exist in "pure" nicotine.

I vape non nicotine through out the day, Only vaping my nicotine juices when I need to feed my addiction. sometimes not nicing at all during the day, except in the morning, which I think is just mental from my prior smoking habit.

I vape non nic because it really messes with some of my flavors, So I make myself Nic and non Nic juices.

Some days my addiction is more noticeable than others but this way I have the option to feed it as needed.

Guess I should also mention there are artificial throat hit additives out there for juice as well to cover that aspect of it.

I havent read everything in here yet, but lower nic levels could be for the same reason people lower the strenght of their cigarettes. eg light extra light ultra light.
Me personally, i used a strength level of 12 on my first day. By the end of the day, i had that feeling u get when uve had too many cigarettes....mind u i wasnt a heavy smoker, per se. 8 cigs a day maybe. Because of this, my next purchase is going to be a 6. Ill still keep a 12 around for rough days, but i think 6 might be fine for me

I have been easing down the percentage of nicotine in my juice for close to 2 years now. Started at 24 to 18 mg.. currently on 3.5mg. and am considering going down more. Main reason is that while I have every intention of continuing to vape, regardless of if I use nicotine or not...I want to be prepared in the event that nicotine for PVs becomes regulated or heavily taxed...or banned...or whatever the guv'ment decides its going to do to make the common folk's lives more miserable. So, if I'm not "hooked" on nicotine (which, for all intents and purposes I am not, at the level I am now) then no worries. Except for maybe the hardware itself. But I'm working on that....

This is a very good point, I never thought of it that way.

Really hope it never comes to this.

I think its more of a personal preference. Got a friend that has been vaping for few years whit 18mg juices, and i personaly like think that eaven the 10mg juices are too strong after 6months of vaping.

For me, eaven the 10mg juice gives bit too much "throat hit", personaly if the nic free juices would have atleast somesort of throat hit, i would skip the nicotine complitely, but now the nic free juices feel like i would inhale only air...

You're trying to be a moderator on domino logic that doesn't apply to any statement or topic, quit policing!

Back on topic. The OP asked...

I think Government and Big Tobacco is having a negative reactions to it!

I once was so upset that I smoked a pack of cigarettes in 4 hours (used to smoke around a pack per day, sometimes a bit more). I ended up in the emergency room and had to be give two nitroglycerine tablets to get my blood pressure down. I use 12mg liquid because I like to vape without overdoing it...higher nicotine mg gives me palpitations and such.
