"2 V4L XL last me about 4 hours, and the cartamizers from nhaler hold about 2ml, which last about 7 or 8 hours for me."

I'm wondering how ppl came up with the numbers of vaping hours? Did they chain vape?
I've never had such a spectacular results neither from kr808 or eGo batteries with the chain vaping. Brand new and fully charged Kr808 lasted 71 minuts and eGo about 2+ hours but with the noticeable decreasing in performance.

And XL KR808 from V4L last about 255 min. We had a guy chain vape in the Vapor 4 Life forum and test the voltage every ten min. At 355 min it still was above 3.7v. Check it out here http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/vapor4life/185723-stealth-v2-voltages.html

As you can see saying all smaller batteries suck is false. It is a stealth which means no led, but the difference is almost null. Heres the results of a manual reguler sized:

"Manual standard size voltage tests

These tests were done with wow carts at 2.2ohm and cool carts at 3.3ohm. They were chain vaped fresh off the charger. I used the two newest manuals I own for these tests (one recharged 3 times, the other 4).

Don't let people tell you that anything that looks like an e-cig is crap. The difference between a ego and a kr808 is you might have to carry 3XL batteries to match the battery of one Ego Battery, but if thats whats comfortable to you then go for it. I have myself 5 Kr808 batteries, 2 Go-Go batteries, and a Box Mod with two batteries that I take out and put on a charger. Just depends on what I want to hold, because they all have VERY close to the same voltage. A lot of what happens with flavor and TH and vapor is the type of Cartomizer/Atomizer you are using. Some of them are crap and dont give you any vapor, and some work really well.

I will put my 2 cents in.

Get two V4L batteries and a charger, and buy a couple of KR-808 cartomizers from different vendors to find which ones suit you. In my mind that is the simplest way to start, its not to expensive, and if you like it you can go for something different. PM if you need any help my friend, thats what this forum is about. Don't feel obligated to listen to me or anyone else, but if it sounds interesting, don't be afraid to ask for more info.

:blush:With all due respect for mod users, I agree at this time with dormouse. vaping a mini now for almost 3 months. after reading thru post I know I'll get my balls busted, but I use and correct me if I'm wrong a KR808D-1 model from V2cigs. haven't touched an analog since. Yes, when the batteries are low and sometimes in the car, the vapor isn't as satisfying, but I have backups on hand, and once in a while (rare) I'll vape two at a time. i would like to try something bigger and more economical to drip (just ordered flavors from lorann's) so i don't have to order the blank cartridges again from V2, maybe the size of a cigar for home. but i haven't figured out what yet. I never smoked more than half a pack a day however, and this may be why i am satisfied with batteries that last me a day and prefer to carry a mini around in my pocket. I can't picture at this time carrying around anything bigger.

You really can't go wrong with the Egos, even with 650mAh or 1100mAh batts, they'll run Boge low resistance cartomizers just fine. If that's not enough for you, try the new Smoketech dual-coil cartos for even more vapor. You'll be satisfied, for now...

That's what I'm using and I'm happy, but now that I've read this entire thread I can't help but want to try 5v to get even more! Damn.

And after wading through all the posts in here, we have a winner!!

If this were the only post in this thread, that would have been enough.

Already been Mentioned:

#1 reason battery life, I can go through a cig size battery in a half hour.

#2 High voltage or low resistance for hotter hits.

#3 Liquid delivery, you can use a tank or feeder on a mod and have a day or more worth of juice.

#4 The vape is wayyyyyyy better with plumes of great tasting vapor !!!!

I’m a vv guy and I’ll add

#5 Ability to dial in the sweet spot that often changes with different juices using the same setup.

#6 Expense in the long run. Quality batteries last longer, are cheaper to replace and more readily available than proprietary e-cig batteries.

Overall, less fuss, less charging batteries, better performance in every way and less ongoing expense.

I didn’t care what my cigarette looked like when I smoked and can’t think of anyone that did. I feel the same way about my e-cig. I want a combination of performance, least amount of fuss possible at the best price point and that’s a MOD.

On and now that Ego adapters are floating around Tank and Ego Atty people can still be happy with a better battery device.

#7 I don't have to worry about matching the atty to the battery to get the vape I'm looking for.

Ah...I said I was done here and thought I was but here just another example why I say if it looks like a cigarette its JUNK!
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...-help-have-not-used-ecig-yet.html#post3171168

I think you might find quite a few posts here made by people who spent a lot of money on supposedly better PVs who have gotten duds too.

I have a cig-looking KR808 that has worked flawlessly for 4 months. It remains to be seen how long that JUNK will continue to perform exactly as described.

Ya know, I'm really glad that I spent too much money on my first kit. Part of my success was that I had made a serious investment in it and wasn't going to let that money be wasted. I kept my eye on the prize... which was that break even point.

Little did I know that vaping would turn me into a raging internet shopaholic.

And wv2win, you are 100% correct in everything you write. Some people just have to make that transition at their own pace. It's good that there are so many veterans here to share their individual journeys, though, because some people really do learn from others mistakes. At least you're planting seeds.

Thank you for the comments. Much appreciated. I personally know too many people who tried vaping with weak battery, auto, analog sized kits that went back to smoking and called vaping just another "scam" due to the poor performance and inconsistency. Those of us who hang around ECF must have some "bulldog" in our personalities to keep trying things until we find what works for us.

What the heck, I'll chime in. The reason a lot of people don't want and don't like cigarette looking kits is that's just about all you get, cigarette looking. Well guess what, I'd rather it be more like cigarette smoking. When I smoked a cigarette, I never worried about how it looked. Face it, a lot of people hated me for doing it. When I smoked a cigarette, I got the same thing every time. You don't get that when it's totally unsatisfying and it's time to change the battery 8 or 10 times a day. You also don't get it when your cartomizer's getting dry either.

The non-cigarette looking kits are there to get you to a more like smoking experience. If you smoked for how it looked then, by all means, you definitely need a cigarette looking kit. It would be cheaper to suck on a pencil though. The mods are there to make it a more smoking like experience.

So, I'll turn your question right back to you. Do you really smoke just to hold something that's cigarette sized? Is that really why it's hard for you to quit? If the answer's no then, I think you have your answer.

Well said. You hit the nail on the head.

After a month with a cigarette-looking PV i'm getting a little upset when at work I hear comments like "Oh, is that you again with your funny FAKE cigarette! Be a man and get a real smoke!" So I definately want something that looks like a part of a space ship now to show that what I'm holding IS NOT a cigarette and has nothing to do with their "MEN's stuff".

All of the above. In my own words: I got really tired of carrying around multiple batteries (4-5 901's) and a bottle of juice, a couple of atomizers, a charger, and a PCC (unfortunately i couldn't fit any more than 4 carts in it). I got the screwdriver with a MAP tank and don't carry anything else with me except for a little bottle of juice in my pocket. Much much easier.

I was a 2PAD+ smoker and needed more juice and battery life to satisfy my needs. I vape 6mg+ per day. I needed something that I was not messing with during my work day.

For me it was the larger bottom fed juice mods. It gets me through the day no mess no hassle and I do not care if it looked like a cigarette or not. (I would prefer it not look like a cigarette i hated smoking)

This is what I love about the ecig world there is something out there that will meet the needs of everyone.

Just my 2c vape on, and vape what works for you. :)

I want something that looks and feels like smoking an analog cigarette, so why do so many want mods and stuff. I certainly don't want it to look like I'm smoking a .... and get pulled over by the cops.

If it looks like a real cig, it wont feel like it. if you want performance and satisfaction, you have to get past the "but it doesnt look like a cig" I had that feeling at first and I was miserable. As soon as I got over that and got an ego I am happy and analog free for a month now.
Good Luck
