Whenever I go to my local shop I get weird looks when I whip the provari out and vape it. Even weirder looks when I blow a huge cloud coming out of my dripper. Why the provari hate? I mean it's getting old defending my mod. I dont even feel I have to, but sometimes the haters are too much. Most of these people are using mechs. I like my mechs as well, but the precious has no equal in my stable.

There is a cloud contest coming up and I won the last two with my nemmy and patriot. But this time I may go provari just to prove a point!

lol. No way you win a cloud contest with a Provari. that's good humor. Also, judging by your post it isn't the provari getting you weird looks.

Just remember... It's not what you've got, it's how you use it!!! :D

Not sure what that means. I would not expect to win any cloud contest with the provari, just an opportunity to show that it can be done. I also hate cloud contests, but the one that I was in no one can build at all, so I go to blow clouds and then to teach how to do that. I'm a type that prefers to spread knowledge when and where I can. You have no clue who I am or what I'm about. Just a topic for discussion, thanks for the contribution.

I think this is why we are moving.

I ran dual coils on a Kayfun once for a day. On my ProVari. 2 oHms.
I had to use a machete to cut my way out of that cloud.

I tried that too, even though it's really not designed for it. IIRC I was ~2.5 ohms (which is where I like my builds anyways). I didn't care for the flavor though - bit too harsh.

It's another form of prejudice and bias. As Ocey pointed out, the only people who snub their noses towards a Provari or its owner are those who have never owned one, and are making a predetermined judgement about the owner just because he owns one. These people believe Provari owners only use them because they are a "status symbol".

The truth is, people buy a Provari because they have heard the good word of mouth recommendations of hundreds of owners. Words like "dependable", "reliable", "consistant", "durable", and "smoother" are always mentioned when they describe theirs. When all is said and done, aren't these the very traits we all want in our mod?

Although expensive the Provari is worth it. I spent quite a bit of money on mech clones from Fast Tech. Most are pretty good devices, and the HCigar Nemesis clone I have is fantastic. However, I rarely use them anymore. At home I use my Provari (don't take it anywhere because I'm paranoid it would be stolen) and everywhere else is my Silver Bullet. I have 100% confidence in both. I love what I use, love what you use, and don't worry about what devices other people have. Oh, and if you do use a more expensive or high end device try not to be a d@*k to people who use a cheaper one. Everyone started somewhere.

Good words to live by. I too am overly protective of "my precious" (although I did take it to the Ice Rink to watch my daughter curl..last week).

MVP2's are the perfect Mini-Me's for the ProVari. They provide me a similar vape at 1/5th the cost and for travelling they are unrivaled in their convenience. My phone charger charges both my phone and MVP.

Funny thing, when I bought mine I never thought of it as particularly expensive (you paid how much for that topper - what??) and certainly not as a status symbol (it's hardly a gold Dunhill - but you may not be old enough to appreciate that reference LOL). I used to spend more than that on cigarettes in a month. I bought it for the simplicity, reliability, and longevity and that is exactly what I got. I only own one, and that is enough for me (I have an MVP2 as a backup, which I never use).

Part of it might be the fact that some owner feels the need to start one of these threads every month. Just kidding.

I have no issues with whatever people choose to use. What I do find funny is that the same people who call a provari an over priced status symbol seem to have no issues paying $200 for a steel pipe with a serial number on it.

Vape what makes you happy.

Edit: oops, I swear this was in the General section when I first looked at the thread. Sorry for intruding ProVapers
