Why upgrade?

Hi everyone. Currently using a 1000 mah vv kanger battery with a mini protank 3. Haven't smoked in 3 months so this setup is doing is job. My question is why would I change my setup like everyone seems to do. I don't understand the clones and mods. I was thinking about getting a bigger tank just to eliminate the numerous refills everyday. What setup should I try next or should I just stick with what works?

about year ago ...
- started w / similar equipment
- experimented w / bottom feeder to eliminate refills ( v-mod, squonking wasn't for me )
- ended up w / kayfun type RTA's ( russian 91% ) & Russian clone
- smoke free for a year in january, the kayfun tanks & regulated devices w / usb charging has made it convenient, satisfying & easy.

I'm with frankzuber on this one, its not so much need, but maybe the grass is greener on the other side. I've only been vaping for a couple of weeks and my on the road vape is the evod starter kit, at home I prefer my newish MVP, tomorrows vapemail will have a Tesla M2 clone just because its shiny :) . I wanted to try a mech mod at an affordable price, not because I am a cloud chaser, but to see how I like the vape.

I also am using the same battery you are but with the aspire nautilus and it works great. Like said before if you feel no need to upgrade by all means don't. But if your like most people that are always looking for something to make their vapeing experience better like me then upgrade and find what mod works for you. I myself just ordered a Hana modz dna30 for no good reason, just because I liked it. Now don't get me wrong my evod could take care of my nicotine cravings just fine till the day I died it's just more fun getting new stuff.

If your setup is working for you, there's no need to change. Bigger tank for less refilling - go for it. I moved from eGo/Spinners to VV3/MVP to Sigelei Zmax and Vamo V6. The only reason I wanted the last two was to get the slightly higher wattage so I could push my Nautiluses a little harder.

Right now, there's nothing out there that's tripping my trigger, so I don't feel the need for anything new. I recently added some PT2s because I'm outgrowing my EVOD tanks, and have been rebuilding the EVOD heads, so I'll just keep using the same ol' heads.

Well you wouldnt be fixing it as much as trying other things. Take your trusted setup with you out and about and try something new at home, if you want. I upgraded because I wanted a dripper to change flavors easily as well as I wanted more battery life. I hated having the ego plugged up while I wanted to vape. I needed to be able to swap the batteries out and keep the mod going. The extra power options didn't hurt my feelings either.

It's all about finding your happy place, I spent so much time when I started fidling with my gear to get a better vape that I never really stoped.
Pretty happy with my current setup but I do buy a new piece of gear every month just to try something new.
My wife enjoys "borrowing" my gear that I don't worry about it, she wears out/breaks my old gear fast enough so that I don't get the lecture on my vape budget. :)

In all seriousness tho, if what you are using is working fine for you then your golden.

It was the ego twist that finally got me off cigs completely after numerous failed attempts with the gum, patches and old cigalikes. I then moved to a sigelei zmax mainly due to larger capacity and swapable batteries and was in love. From their vaping slowly became less and less about quiting smoking and more a hobby with great benefits.

I still find myself having 1 CIG on occasion after a truly stressful day and honestly still enjoy it. I just no longer have to have it. What bothers me to high hell are the people who see me having a CIG and complain. "I thought you quit? Yada yada whaa whaa whaaaa" bs. I went from a pack-pack and a half a day to 1 CIG every 2-3 days. .... n be happy for me or mind your own business.

Not everyone is vaping because its something they have to do to stay away from cigarettes.

For me, I really love vaping and I enjoy building coils and wicking my RDAs. I enjoy shining my mech mods. I want to use the new products. I want to taste the delectable juice flavors and chuck massive clouds. Its not really like smoking cigarettes at all. It is something entirely different. Its not something I am doing because this is the compromise and I can't have the real thing. In fact, this is the real thing for what it is.

You have found something that you are content with and gets you by without using tobacco. Thats great. But I found something that I want more and more of and will forever pursue the great experiences that it gives me. It costs money, sure, but there are lots of other more expensive hobbies. Vaping, building, collecting, polishing, cloud chasing, flavor chasing, are enjoyable ways that I prefer to spend much of my time.

Meh. I didn't upgrade for almost two years when I first started vaping. It just worked, and I was ignorant of any better equipment or juice. I was overpaying for carts and juice but I didn't know and didn't care. I was still saving hundreds of dollars each month compared to smoking.

Then my batteries started dying and my cartos kept leaking. So I did my research and upgraded my equipment at that point.

That's when I realized there was a huge difference in the experience that my new equipment gave me.

Since then I have only upgraded once more but I'm always keeping up with the new products that come out and reading reviews. So when it's time to upgrade my setup again, I'll always know exactly what I want.
