I don't think so.

But I made one of these and I'm thinking of selling them...
Defective pot that won't even power a pass-through!

Today, Dr. Farsalinos released his nicotine mg study. Interesting about the level comparison.
Nicotine absorption from electronic cigarette use: comparison between first and new generation devices

In fact, even after 1 hour of use, users could not obtain plasma nicotine levels similar to smoking 1 cigarette in 5 minutes.

I KNEW IT!! My one slip last week, which was 3 hits off an Ultra Light, 5 minutes, I was absolutely green and nic-sick.

This will also useful information when dealing with people who say "Uh... whut abowt yer nic-o-teen druug addickshun?" I'm guessing that by the time you get down to 3-6 mg juice you are only using the tiniest bit of nicotine.

Exactly! It's also why it's so easy to cut down on the nicotine once our bodies adjust to life without full impact of a smoke. .

More importantly, to me is this: THAT's why we can't go vape elsewhere....we'd be gone full-time! We vape more because we're getting less!

Exactly!! Shame on us for allowing shills to embarrass us into using lower levels than needed at any time during our journey.

So we're on the same page that this is blatant discrimination based on appearances and can be classified as 'profiling' vapers to be smokers and to top it off it's being done in the face of credible scientific information that it's a relatively harmless activity.

Sounds like the type of thing the ACLU should be all over.

No. The problem is t from a distance, one can easily think another is smoking in a non smoking area. It just would cause too many problems to allow vaping in non smoking areas.

Not buying it.

Vapor dissipates. Smoke lingers.

Cigarettes stink. Vapes generally smell like dessert - when you can smell them.

Sorry, not a good enough reason. I mean seriously - you shouldn't drink liquids in public because from a distance it might look like alcohol to someone...

If someone has non alcoholic beer in a red plastic cup, drinking from it in public, you better believe others nearby will come to the conclusion said person is drinking beer.
Perhaps the issue is with your delivery device. If I were to use mine at a restaurant, someone 3 tables away would assume I am smoking a cigar. In fact, last December while vaping at a restaurant, someone complained to the waiter that I was smoking.
If one is chewing on a pen in public, does it look like smoking?

That would be equivalent to a being denied seating in an AZ restaurant because the host mistakes my daughter & I for a gay couple.
Looks don't kill, because, if they did...

Not al all. It looks like smoking. It is fact. No way around it. If it were illegal for a private establishment to not allow vaping, surely there would have been a lawsuit by now...

Just the part where it hits slower is why I say if I have to go outside to vape I'm going to smoke instead.

What's funny think this goes along with the Ruyan tests from long ago, but "we just don't know", say the "experts".

You're not going to confuse anything I use with smoking. If someone would I'd have to confuse them with someone who's mind is being enhanced with something illegal.

So we should ban chewing on pens?

Cigarette addiction is a whole other beast than nicotine dependence. I didn't understand that before.

Also yes... in another thread someone mentioned Surgeon General's report saying they theorized that vapers were getting more nicotine than smokers.... so that's at least ONE theory debunked by fact.

Why, because people are getting offended by nothing? Because they don't like the looks of what someone is doing, from a distance away? IF ONLY we could ban whatever we don't like the looks of.

The whole point is, chewing on pens doesn't emit a substance which looks like smoke. PVs do. You can choose to ignore such a simple fact, but that is reality.

Because it looks like they are smoking in non smoking areas. That's it. I can't comprehend why that is so hard for some to understand. People are offended by others smoking in non smoking areas. Deny it all you want, but it looks like smoking. There are busy body smoking police in the US who will cause a scene if they think someone is smoking in non smoking areas.

And most female politicians look like prostitutes (well, in a way I guess they are, but I digress...).

I guess it's a valid as not letting someone on an airplane because they look like a terrorist. Oh, wait...

So? Why does it matter? It's NOT smoking. There's no reason other than ignorance and stupidity to ban it. If 100 people are offended and 1 person's life is extended then where's the harm really being done?

Or would you rather a friend or loved one die of cancer to keep from offending some .....?

You seem to not understand that there are places in the US where smoking is not allowed and using something that emits a substance in such locations, which looks like smoke, will cause problems which establishments don't want to deal with. I don't care either way. I don't vape in non smoking areas in the US. That is why vaping will be prohibited at all places where smoking is prohibited. That is it- because it looks like smoking. No way around it. It has nothing to do with money or political influence. It looks like smoking. Smokers in the US have become pariahs.

They are bothered by smoking in non-smoking areas because ... smoking.
Smoking produces smoke, which smells, can trigger asthma and allergy attacks, and people don't want their kids around it.

This doesn't apply to vapor. You can tell the different between smoking and vaping from 10 feet away. If busybody smoking police want to cause a scene over what is not smoking then they are stupid and will embarrass themselves. Not my problem. You are free to refrain. There are many places where I don't vape out of common courtesy, and in truth vaping is banned everywhere smoking is, where I live. That doesn't make it right and I may or may not sometimes frequently always vape in places where the ban is stupid, like outdoors at the park.

However when I visit my sister out of state where there aren't all these prohibitions I don't feel obligated to do my "not smoking" in places where only smoking is allowed. I do my "not smoking" in places where "not smoking" is ok and it isn't likely to bother anyone.
