Cool Tripdubz. One thing I'll take from this story. I'm not even going to mess with anything better lol. I don't want to find something I like even better. I like what I have so much right now I'm just going to stay right here and save some money.
Word Jiblets! I think it's funny I've introduced a few people into
vaping, and I suggested that my buddy start with a sigelei 150W with a
tank. For perspective, a year ago, the hottest thing on the market was a custom dna20 mod (imo). 20W regulated? Who could ever use more than 20W? Now, new vapers can get their hands on crazy sick gear right out the gate. I only suggested the 150W to my friend because if he ever wants more power, it's there. I think its a wise suggestion, given that there's so much room for expansion. I never spent 4000-5000$ on gear, but I did go up a step at a time, spending money along the way.
If a friend suggested that I buy a high wattage box mod when I first started, I probably would have been skeptical, but would have thanked him profusely later on. I think it's also noteworthy that every step up in gear hasn't really 'added' to my collection, it just produces other gear to sell/pass along to other vapers. After all the gear I bought, I currently only have 3 mods and 2 attys - I sold the rest to friends to pay it forward.
Also I think that pg/vg ratio and nic levels play a major role in the type of gear you prefer. I've found that a
juice has a very dependent relationship to the characteristics of the atty and mod. In general, I think lower wattage ranges may be more fitting for higher nic, pg and overall flavor - the same holds the other way around.
Anyway, hope this thread has been useful for you. Definitely keep on doing what you're doing, as long as you ain't suckin smoke!
