Cool Tripdubz. One thing I'll take from this story. I'm not even going to mess with anything better lol. I don't want to find something I like even better. I like what I have so much right now I'm just going to stay right here and save some money.

Word Jiblets! I think it's funny I've introduced a few people into vaping, and I suggested that my buddy start with a sigelei 150W with a tank. For perspective, a year ago, the hottest thing on the market was a custom dna20 mod (imo). 20W regulated? Who could ever use more than 20W? Now, new vapers can get their hands on crazy sick gear right out the gate. I only suggested the 150W to my friend because if he ever wants more power, it's there. I think its a wise suggestion, given that there's so much room for expansion. I never spent 4000-5000$ on gear, but I did go up a step at a time, spending money along the way.

If a friend suggested that I buy a high wattage box mod when I first started, I probably would have been skeptical, but would have thanked him profusely later on. I think it's also noteworthy that every step up in gear hasn't really 'added' to my collection, it just produces other gear to sell/pass along to other vapers. After all the gear I bought, I currently only have 3 mods and 2 attys - I sold the rest to friends to pay it forward.

Also I think that pg/vg ratio and nic levels play a major role in the type of gear you prefer. I've found that a juice has a very dependent relationship to the characteristics of the atty and mod. In general, I think lower wattage ranges may be more fitting for higher nic, pg and overall flavor - the same holds the other way around.

Anyway, hope this thread has been useful for you. Definitely keep on doing what you're doing, as long as you ain't suckin smoke!

And what about your "cats"????

I dunno; most of my feline avatars had some humorous text, and at this size, that's pretty hard to read. I had to bend over backwards and cross my eyes to get that "tootle puffer" text both small enough and still readable. :D

A lot of great thoughts, anecdotes, and experiences shared here. Glad to hear so many have found their vaping bliss zone and, for those that are still searching, I offer the hopeful reminder that this is a great time to be a vaper because of vast variety of all things vaping to experiment with.

Yep. I'm not buying a new mod until one of mine craps out, or stops holding a charge. With the research I've done and the couple months with my mvp3.0, that could be a long time.

Sure, you say that now......

...but the shiny new thing that is way better then the one you got goes on pre-order tomorrow. ;)

I have an addiction to building RTAs. Hey, I needed a hobby I could still do even though I'm sick now.

I have tanks that cost less than $10 (just bought a UD Aga t5 tonight for $9.40) up to some high end ones. I have two sx minis but 3 isticks. They are all good. I have to agree that we don't know if the replaceable battery mods will last longer than the isticks. Its too early to say. And people have already replaced their istick batteries because they wanted to. So it can be done. Is it worth it? Up to you.

I would be very happy if we could stop arguing about peoples' choice in gear, and just support each other. I haven't been posting much lately because this is driving me nuts :( Its been like troll city lately. Enjoy what you like, and leave others to enjoy what they like. And if you have nothing helpful or worthwhile to add to a post, put down the keyboard. This is the first week I've begun adding people to my ignore list, but some here seem to live for stirring the pot.
